How is everything? I’m chugging along over here. Miss my daughter a ton. Thank goodness for WhatsApp video calls! Other than missing here, all is good. That’s a big piece to be missing though….

Yes, imagine moving to a different country 100 years ago and having letters at best to keep in touch with family and friends.

Hey Lore, I am sure your daughter is missing you terribly as well!  What is your favorite part so life in Portugal so far?  Are you struggling with nostalgia for the holidays or are you looking forward to a the adventure of holidays in a new way?

I would imagine 100 years ago, the letter would arrive about three months after sending it on the boat.  I wonder if they had mail boats?grin
