I was told that Trader Joe’s has a Vinho Verde. It’s a Portugal thing, green wine. It’s not actually green but has something to do with the particular region the grapes are grown, in the very North of Portugal.  It’s really refreshing! If you can find it you should try it. Here a lot of people have it at breakfast joy. Dinner too, but….wine at breakfast…wowza.

Wowza is right. Germans drink small beers for breakfast. I couldn't do that either.

Taller.

Argyle…or some kind of pattern

Sandals: yes or no

Yea, alcohol for breakfast would not bode well for my day. I’ll stick with coffee and sometimes OJ. Oh! Today I was in a coffee shop and a guy ordered a Bumblebee. Turns out that was a fresh squeezed OJ with a couple of shots of Espresso in it joy. Oh and it had ice…. I’ve seen some strange takes on coffee drinks here, lol!

Only at the beach.

Swim cap or not.  Guess other than pro swimmers it's rare.

Not sure I'd like sure OJ & expresso, but it looks nice.

Yes, that’s it! It did look good…I might conjure up the nerve to try one. Kind of kills two birds with one stone, eh?

swim cap: no. Just braid it and go!

Pool. I go in the water, but I barely swim. In addition to driving, many NYCers don't know how to swim.

Forward or backward diving.

The driving comment is hilarious, but…isn’t Manhattan an island?? How can one not learn to swim?? stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye Diving is another matter entirely…forward only…

Surfing yes or no

No surfing, I'd fall and drown. I went snorkeling a few times in Aruba. That was fun but it was near the boat that brought us. Manhattan has no beaches. There are some in the other boroughs, but they aren't very nice. Few homes have pools. The public pools aren't very nice either. My parents both swam, they learned at the YMCA, but that wasn't a thing when my sister and I were growing up. But since you like surfing:

Surfboarding or bodyboarding.

I’ve been to some beaches on Long Island that were nice, but that was some years ago. I do like surfing but I’m not great at it. Just discovered bodyboarding when I went to Hawaii last August and that was fun! I’ll go with that! I’m actually off to a place called Costa da Caparica today for some surfing. I’m glad you got to snorkel. Pretty isn’t it?

With fish: rice or potatoes

Rice. LI beaches are nice. I haven't been there much. The snorkeling was very pretty. A friend had an underwater camera and took some nice pictures of the fish. Enjoy Caparica.

Downhill or cross-country skiing
