Morning Kitty.  So sorry your back is hurting just as the packing is about finished and you were to enjoy your last few days on the island.  Hope you don't need the chair long and the therapy works.

I've finished the short drainage ditch, about 60 feet.  Have to order a couple loads of gravel for the longer one, about 190 feet.

Our heat wave weekend is over but supposed to be 88 today so still warm.  It's our grocery day so gotta do that before I start cleanup work in the lawn.

Have a great day Kitty, hope less pain.

Ernie

Hi Ms. Kitty ~

So very sorry to hear that you are having back problems ~ maybe you have overdone everything with the packing, etc.  Have you tried "warm tubbies"?   It always helps me and I'e used this CBD product that Megan bought for me.  I hope this does not interfere with your travels.  Saying a prayer and hoping that all is o.k.  ((hugs))  Susan

Dear Ernie ~

Wish I had all of your get-up-and-go.  Today, was a bit of a down day (meaning energy level).  I took a Melatonin to sleep and perhaps that caused a left over fog.

Soon, to go on a bike-ride.  Rain, rain all around us ~ everywhere and NOT a single drop in Avon Lake.

And so it goes...Have a good week-end if I don't get back on till next week.   Susan

Morning Susan.  Same rain over here, had to stop work on my ditches for a short time.  Went picking blueberries with my wife and granddaughter.  Took some to one of my daughters homes last night.  My granddaughter and I always take some to widow lady down the road.  There were two but one is gone last few years. They were both smokers, the one left is still smoking at 81 with some bypasses installed.  She quit on Chantix briefly right after her heart attack but it didn't stick.

Working on my daughter's hand mower, it's not that old and isn't a cheap one.  Was getting ready to pull the flywheel and look at the crankshaft key but bought a spark plug to see if that's fouled first.  Will see this morning.

Have a good day Susan.  Kitchen must look nice.

Hi Ernie ~

Beautiful day here in Avon Lake.  Sunny and 72.  The city of Cleveland had 3" of rain yesterday.  Avon Lake (25 miles to the west) had 0 inches.  We are on a point of the Lake and for whatever reason, we have missed almost all of the rain this summer.

Looking for a used exercise bike.....not sure if a new one is worth the price.  Neighbors got a Pelaton or some high end for $2200.  He said it was 0 interest and $60.00 a month.  I just laughed.  I told him I was thinking of a recumbent bike for around no more than $200.00 out the door.  We had a bike once...seemed like a good idea at the time.  Was very heavy and bulky and rarely used.  I guess I will continue to look for a used one... LOL

Will push the weather toward you for the week-end.  Sure hope Miss Kitty's back is better.  That will be a very long trip for her!   Susan

Morning Susan.  We got some rain Thursday, don't know how much.  Ground dried out some yesterday so I should be able to get back to the tractor today.  Was forecast to rain Monday but see a minute ago postponed until Tuesday.  I should be able to finish this part of project by then.

After my two barbers died and last one moved south I started getting haircuts in our mall but they haven't gotten an air filter so they are remaining closed for long time.  Trying to make an appt with my wife's hair salon.  I don't get a haircut for 6 months or so but could use one now.

Yes, this is the time Kitty is supposed to be traveling north, 24th.  Wish them luck.

Lots of times people leave those exercise bikes out for free.  My dad had one he picked up for free back 15 years ago or so.  This year is different so maybe people aren't giving them away this year.  I have a real one but Brandy wouldn't stay near it.  My wife got an elliptical about 20 years ago but rarely used it.  I use it about 1.5 hours a day usually along with our 6 miles walking.  Still trying to push Diabetes into remission.  Think it's working but a long slow process.  I'm off one of the more dangerous meds I was taking, waiting to stabilize.

Have a great day.

Dear Ernie,

The last message you sent ~ All highlighted in BOLD red..... Norton Anti Virus warning me NOT to go to this unsafe web-site???  Hm.....  By-passed that and used one of your old messages and all is fine.

Wondering if something really is going on with the web-site.  Did you have any warning with this message??

Nice day.  Started stainless steel backsplash.  Husband was a lawyer.....I'm not sure how this is going to all work.... Subway pattern.  One row in place (four 3 x 6 tiles) since 11:30 and its now 12:16 p.m.  I sense a lot of "frustration".  He's off to read about changing a saw blade.  All new to him but he soooo wants to try......  I told him I thought it might be a good idea to have this hired out ~ since its my condo...I'm willing to pay.  He says we "can do it".....

Nothing planned this week-end.  Wow ~ six months between a haircut.  I go every six weeks faithfully to the tune of $55.00 plus 20 per cent tip.....   Laughing now......

Susan

Good idea to look on bulk pick up day.  I've found many an item (namely a $200.00 jogging stroller) just outgrown and thrown away......

Knee seems good with second shot.  I will be happy for whatever time I get.  Dr. advised to ice it and I am.....

Morning Susan.  I'm not getting the red print or warnings.  Seems like no rush with the kitchen so you two can do whatever you want.  I would like to redo our kitchen but can't spare the money and time now, maybe in a few years.

Fixed my daughter's hand mower, was a clogged carburetor.  Also changed the oil and spark plug.  It's an expensive hand mower, self propelled and it has belt drive for the blade.

If I get a $20. haircut will be the most expensive I ever got.

Around here people just put stuff out by the road to give it away free.

Didn't know there was still a problem with your knee, good luck with getting it better.

Hope Kitty's trip went well.  She should be in Ct now if they made the trip.

Have a great day.

Well the trip went well but went straight to hospital to get control of the pain.....it took them until today so I just got here and saw Brian for the first time since Thurs  and that I was in a medi van and he had to finish the house packing and he drove up Friday and arrived Sat.....he couldn't see me because he had to be quarantined for 2 wks.....so now at our daughters and she is a big help.....still discomfort but at least I can walk now for the first time since last Sat.....and the bigger news is that we are going to look at a house tomorrow that looks very promising.....

Morning Kitty.  Glad you pain is less and the trip is over.  You got here just in time for a cold front to pass through.

I got a lot of work done on the drainage ditches last couple days but still not done.  Might be able to continue on if we don't get to much rain.

Don't know yet if Brandy and I will walk this morn, radar shows rain at about 8:15 and 10:15.

Daughter brought grands up for swimming Saturday and Sunday.

Hope you enjoy looking at homes.

Ernie
