Hi Ernie and Paul,
Light Therapy is thought to improve one's mood and sleep in the areas of the country that do not get much sunlight. We need the sunlight to process Vitamin D. Not sure if it will work, but plan to invest in such a device from Amazon. Clouds envelope the area where I live from November until April. Rarely, do we have any sunshine! I think it has to do with Lake Erie........ Anyway, it's worth a try.
Cold here. Lots of snow on the east side of the Lake.....very little here. Finn still loves to recline on the patio if even for a short time. Oh, the scents that he must pick up on!
I have started early with Christmas shopping via the internet. Lands End is a favorite. Really dislike going out to the shopping malls. I usually do a few favorite local shopping venues here in Avon Lake. Always, spend $$$ too much money. What can I say? I like to give gifts.

Good morning Susan and Paul. 30 here right now. Our sunshine in the past few days could be measured in
minutes. Wife says it's no use putting out a little solar light she has. She puts it out most days, then brings it
in at dusk for a night light. Maybe light therapy will put people in a happier mood. We have been turning on
lights during the day when it gets darker.
We've seen the forecasts for the lake effect snow of 3 to 5 feet of snow for the Buffalo area. We get lake effect
snow often but not in those amounts. Quite a few miles from the lakes here.
Our Belle dog has a limp that gets better, then worse. We've started her on Glucosamine for now, maybe try to
do without it later on. Cocoa had to have joint medicine most of her life. Belle usually wants to turn around and
head home early. The Glucosamine takes 2 weeks to 2 months to start working. Hasn't been a week yet.
We hardly have a mall anymore. Almost all the stores closed. JC Penny is about the only department store left.
Heard they own their part of the mall, the rest owned by a company that rents it out. Other stores are on the other
side of the river / highway in what they call strip malls, I guess. We go to some of those. Even our grandkids are
growing older now, miss the days of kids in our home Christmas morning. Will be glad to have Thanksgiving here.
My wife's dad is sick in the hospital, very rare. She will probably go up there at some point. Right now her relative
next door has the virus. Her eyes are still healing, doesn't want to risk the virus right now, or ever really.
While adapting to the cold, I'm working on a bike and an audio amplifier in the basement. 63 degrees down there.
will drop over the next few days.
Enjoy the days all.
Ernie
Looks like a Thanksgiving dinner and pie afterwards.

I am ready for dinner....LOL.....DD is expecting 32 this year.she can go with the flow so well.......Brian is still doing projects outside....that is what he loves the most....
11/19/22
Good morning Kitty. Sounds like you're getting another grandchild or great grand, congrats.
Glad Brian is finding things to do. I haven't gotten into working out in the cold yet but will
eventually. A little wind and a little lake effect snow here but not the 5 feet like in Buffalo.
Wind chill in the teens here this morn.
Went out and got some birdseed for the bird feeder. Had some and it was already filled since
the chipmunks seem to have hibernated. We were getting to many families of chipmunks.
We didn't know we were being over run with them until I caught 7 and relocated them and they
were still everywhere.
Got some waterproof spray for my raincoat. I did exchange them with LL Bean when they stopped
warrantying their products. Sprayed the first coat on yesterday. Made by Thompsons so should work
$100 raincoats and it still is in perfect shape, hope its waterproof again.
Wife's dad in the hospital but her relative up there has the virus, wife still has a slight wound in her eye
from the eye surgery so she doesn't want to risk getting the virus. We're hanging back here for now.
Enjoy the day all. Thanksgiving at our doorstep.

Good morning, everyone.
Not much of an Autumn. Seemed to go from unseasonably hot to cold. Stay warm, enjoy whatever weather we get.
11/20/22
Good morning Paul. Really cold this weekend, 26 here now. Supposed to get back into the
30s and 40s after today. We're forecast to get snow at 6 AM this morn.
Went to the farm yesterday in the Subaru. Monte Carlo is off the road for the Winter. Turned
the water off to the outside hose and drained it, also the bathroom out in an addition that isn't
heated. Think my dad cut the baseboard heat from there. Did other odds and ends around the
farm, ended up taking up the day.
Think the wind chill goes into the single digits today so stay warm all.
Enjoy the day.
Ernie.

Low was only 29 here but very windy. I went out to jog, and it was like being on a treadmill. Quit after 10 minutes to get coffee.
Enjoy the evening everyone.
11/21/22
Good morning Paul. 21 here and dropping but I don't hear any wind. Yesterday we walked against
some strong winds at times. Having coffee now, usually my only caffeine cup of the day. Caffeine
blocks insulin and dehydrates. We had a snow squall yesterday morning around 10, white outs
everywhere for a while, only got about an inch of snow though.
Worked on a door inside the house yesterday, also programming a radio in the basement. Was only
outdoors to fill the bird feeder.
Thanksgiving week is upon us. I think our dinner will be Saturday because of our granddaughters work
schedule. So during the life of this smoke cessation forum granddaughter has gone from car seats to a
work schedule, marriage, and college. I'm thankful for granddaughter coaxing me to stop again, chantix,
this forum, and all of us friends that helped each other.
Supposed to start getting warmer for a few days after these low hours.
Enjoy the day all.

good morning all....a lovely sunny morning so far.....27 degrees...../.looking forward to our Thanksgiving we get to meet a one year old grandson that lives in Iowa he doesn't know us yet.....
11/23/22
Good morning Kitty. We had lots of sunshine yesterday also. 29 here now, not so bad. Our
Thanksgiving get together will be Saturday. Will be great, has been a while since we got together.
Glad your long distance grandson will make it.
Got a few things done yesterday. Took the dogs for an extra walk around the area in the sunshine.
Couldn't go to far because of the deer hunters being out. Some just might see thin legs moving and
shoot above them.
Said on the news this is the worst road traffic day of the holiday, especially 11AM on, so if out on the
road be careful.
Enjoy the day all.
Ernie
