Sad to hear about your sister-in-law, Ernie. My father was healthy until 92 but ended up in a home for his last year.  Not the way I or most of us want to end our days. Sad the farm may not remain in your family, but maybe it will work out.

I hope everyone enjoyed Thanksgiving. I came home last night. Good to see my family, but good to sleep in my bed. Two nights on a couch starts bothering my back.

Good morning Paul.  Rain from 10am on yesterday with few breaks.  Maybe today I will get to service

the two wheels I didn't rebuild the breaks on.  The auto parts doesn't want to see me around there

again right away, I don't think.  I did have an easy time bleeding the brakes this time.  I use a bleeder

that uses vacuum, then have someone pump them a couple times while I bleed them that way, but

sometimes they can still be a pain.

Has to work out Paul, what happens is mostly out of my hands, no crying over spilled milk.  Maybe daughter

and I will see a small piece of land near here to raise a couple horses on but will be without a house on it.

Have to build anything we have on it most likely.  At least in NY we don't have inheritance tax for the poor

and middle class up to 5 million, think it is.  In PA it's 4% for your kids and 11 % for grandchildren, siblings,

or anyone else.  A large sum of money for people like us to come up with.  The end times are coming up

for all of us.  Brother is alone now.  I will get down there when I can but can't stay there because the cats

would wake me during the night and they stink up the house.  I can't smell things very well but can smell the

cat urine before I even reach for the door knob outdoors.

Glad to see you made it back safely.  When younger could sleep just about anywhere but a good and comfortable

nights sleep becomes more important now that I'm getting older.

I started working on the boom box I use for snow shoveling yesterday because it's coming up quickly now.  Stopped

working properly when using it in the Monte Carlo SS during the Summer.  Mostly it's super gluing stuff back into

it's place.  Our driveway is about 150 feet long so takes quite a radio to cover it while shoveling.  I sometimes put it

out by the pool also.

Had a great Thanksgiving here but goes by to quickly.

Enjoy the day all.

Good morning Kitty.  32 here this morn, grateful for 32 after 18 or 20.  We had drizzle along

with a north wind good part of yesterday so I did little outdoors.  Worked on the two portable

radios that broke down last Summer.  Small AM FM shortwave was all glued together to make

it waterproof so couldn't get it apart without destroying it.  Hated letting it go but did, only paid

$18 for it 10 years ago.  The big Boom box, still working on.

Shampooed the carpet in the only room we still have carpet in, was way overdue and a good day

to do it.  Hope to get to the Subaru brakes that weren't rebuilt today.  Supposed to get some sun

today.  Grateful for the days I can still get some stuff done outdoors before all the snow and cold

winds.  Great time to be alive.

Enjoy the day all.

Good morning Kitty and Paul.  Sorry to hear about your friend Kitty.  I also have lost childhood

friends in the last few years and ex coworkers.  Sometimes wonder how many that moved away

are gone.  Also some that are the last in the family and no obits written.  At least we were gifted

with knowing some of them so long and our lives are the better for it, and theirs.

I didn't work hard yesterday but did accomplish couple smaller tasks.  Cleaned the leaves off the

pool cover and pumped the water off.  Assembled the boom box from repairing it, seems to work,

will get a real test first time I shovel snow.  Spent about an hour buffing the rust coat off another

of dad's rifles I was fortunate to get.

Wife got a bunch of glass houses, church, post office, stores, to decorate the bay window for Christmas.

She replaced the incandescent bulbs with LED's.  One of the bulbs slipped inside of one and used my tools

to fish it out and compress it's wings to get it back out.  Also she got power strips with cords to short but

used one of my old lightning arrester power strips with a longer cord.  After 5 years I replace them on

equipment and label them for power strip use.  Also, label the new ones so know when risky to use them

on expensive equipment.  She really outdid herself on this window.  We didn't have the money to do stuff

like that when we were younger and lots went into the kids gifts, then paying them off. smile

Getting heavy snow out now but the pups will love walking and playing in it.  Got a quality cover for the

Monte Carlo SS from California Car Covers, wish it would get here soon.

Enjoy the day all, we can all breath easier.

Good morning Kitty.  19 chilly degrees here this morn.   Pups will still love getting out.

Glad to see your daughter arranging your traditions for you.  My wife working on her

bay window for Christmas and making plans for the tree and other decorations while

doing the window.

Went down and worked on the farm yesterday, just routine stuff.

Everyone have a great day.
