Good morning Susan, Paul, and Kitty. Little cooler here this fine morn at 22. Much less
wind than yesterday morn.
Susan, surprised you rode in the roadster. Wife rode in the SS once but won't again. She
rode in it before the new engine, new steering gear box and many other things. Much smoother
than it was. Only standards I drive are my bikes and riding mower. Mower is a 96, A craftsman
just before they cheapened down. My 67 Pontiac Le mans was a standard but it's gone. Had a
455 cubic inch engine, tons of torque but heavy.
I haven't flown since 2012, for work. Most likely use all our vehicles for a vacation when we go
these days, no hurry, we're both retired and want to see the scenery. Sounds like a lot of trouble
with the airlines, seems like they have gone the way of the gas stations. Hope Finn is doing ok with
the little lap dog. My brother had to put his little Doxin to sleep at almost 17 years old, this past week.
I'm cleaning up that ham radio to sell it still, I don't work lots of hours on it. I'm starting to cover all the
components in my station when not in use. Dust collects over the years and hard to clean off. Not good
for the interior of the components either. At least I don't have a herd of cats in the house like my brother.
Cat urine, hair and vomit all over his stuff. He's had electronics damaged beyond repair by the cats not
being taken care of and just too many of them.
Today is sunny and in the 40s, same as tomorrow, can't believe it. We escaped Winter. Think it's
Thursday that's a little rainy but up near 60.
Paul, seems like if we get the brunt of climate change, your area will be on the front lines. Can always move
but we know how that goes. People don't want to leave their homes and their home town, careers. We are
only 175 miles away from the ocean here. Guess your race is today, good luck in it. I can't come close to that.
I'de be lucky to get in a 15 minute mile on my best day.
Have a great day all, great weather all over the northeast.

Ernie, I certainly won't set any records out there. I think my last run was 13+ minutes mph. 37 now better to me a little cold than warm when running.
I guess I'll watch the SB but once the Giants are gone, I don't really care. Have a great day everyone.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday ~
We are adjusting to the granddog, Willow, being a weekend guest.
Enjoy the game. Salmon for dinner tonight!

Willow has an intense gaze.
I have a SB box so that adds some interest.
Weather was good for the run. 47 minutes for 4 miles. The important thing is I didn't need one of the ambulances that they had lined up at the finish line. :)

Paul,
Admire you so for your entry into a race. It’s wonderful that you found the Forum and that you can participate in such a venue. Congratulations.
Watching the Super Bowl…… could it ever be the Cleveland Browns or your loved New York team ??
2/12/23
You gotta believe Susan. The last Browns championship was pre-Superbowl. Had a bunch in the 50s if I recall correctly. Giants have had a bad decade since 2011.
A great game, nonetheless. Though I wasn't impressed with the Fox coverage, show, or commercials.

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all. 27 here this morn, would like a few more degrees but
we are lucky to be able to run in February at all. Our threshold is around 18-19 and many
years all of this month is below that in the morning. Always did run before work. Some
people are offended that you go by their house in the dark but they'll just have o live with
it.
I don't have much to do with these type sports but I do watch the commercials today that
make the news. I remember liking the Bud Chylesdales and the Britney Spears commercials.
Some others but can't remember details. I will be trying to catch at least part of the Dayton
500 or the Indy 500. Though they seem to be much less than the ones back in the late 60s
or 70s, like the Superbird days or Richard Petty days. I had a hard time watching when drivers
obviously were hitting other cars in their bid to win. An $8k fine, should have been at least $80k.
Glad you made it through the race Paul. Like I said before I went through one Heart Run and was
miles behind. If I went these days I would be with the walkers. Many people would be overjoyed
to be in the walking, the foot doctor I had, said. My doctor acted like it was an ego thing but I feel
better jogging and it reduces my weight along with glucose much easier. I might be useful in life
and to my family much longer than the standard Diabetic.
Hope Finn is enjoying the granddog ok. Our pups would trample him over and over, every time
they get inspired they take off barking and running. When they hear one of us leaving a bedroom
it's a major celebration.
Still cleaning up radios and other components and covering them with sheets when not in use. The
dust takes years to collect and takes a lot of time and effort to remove.
Enjoy the great weather all. We have three days of sun with one day at 57, probably warmer down
at the coast.

Good morning, Paul ~
Enjoyed your comments regarding the game. It was a good game…..nonplussed about the whole thing. Commercials and Rhianna’s half time show. Ugh. I may be showing my age but it certainly was not the best.
Most of us from Cleveland are die-hard fans…..we are just happy with a “win” every now and then. You are correct, they have never been in the Super Bowl. And so it goes…. Happy Monday to all ~ Susan

Good morning, Ernie ~
The football game was good ~ We had no preference, although I believe one of the Eagles defensive coach was from St. Ignatius where Jim and his son went to high school.
I didn’t see many of the commercials ~ what I did see, I was not impressed. Thought the half time show was decently disgusting. Hardly impressed with Rihanna or the dancers who looked like aliens. Perhaps, they were dropped down from these unidentified objects flying above.
With that comment, have a good week. Chilly day here.
Susan
