Good evening everyone ~

Trying to catch up with all of the chit chat.  Hopefully, Kitty received good news regarding her treatment…..  Paul, sounds like you had a fun trip.  Walking 15 miles is no small feat.  Are you sure you were a smoker?    Ernie, up to his usual work, work, work…..puts me to shame.   I managed to drive spouse to where the Nissan Z 350 (I guess that’s the name of it) had interior work done on the leather.  It’s about an hour drive over to the east side from the west side….. transplanted some Sweet Annie that does not look good tonight, trimmed a rose bush that looks like its on its way out and managed to walk Finn at least three times.  Watching a show on Apple TV and that will be my day.  More of the same tomorrow, except a Costco visit.    Enjoy the evening.  Lots and lots of flowering trees are winding down and blowing in the wind.  Susan.  Looking at flights for Denver ~ trip to see one of only two cousins in September.

It was a good trip, Susan. I arrived at 2pm Thursday. My friend could not leave work until 3:00. I went to a bar a block from his office. An old Polish neighborhood in Philly, it was packed at 2:00.  Pretty good pierogis, kielbasa, and cheap drinks.  Most people didn't speak English, didn't stop them from talking to me grinning.

Good night, all.

Good morning all.  36 here and dropping.  Woke up early with help from the pups this time.

The pictures are from August 2020, last time Kitty's property sold, or at least when it was put

up for that sale.  Property values are going up so fast it's hard to keep track, but if you sell you

have to pay the outrageous price for a new place unless like my brother just taking the money

and run.  Prices will level off and probably drop some but I don't know when.  Hope then the

stock market starts creeping up again.  Will take a terrible drop if the debt ceiling isn't lifted.

I would think most of Sanibel is rebuilt now, property being in demand there.

Sounds like you're keeping busy Susan.  My wife and daughter are going to the greenhouse

today to get tons of flowers.  Will mostly go around the pool for us.  Daughter has her own

greenhouse and we're building another that's incomplete.  I built a frame from the tents I had

that wore out and the one that collapsed in the snow storm.  I had to rebuild the frame of the

greenhouse she's using now, wouldn't hold up with the frame that came with it.

Took care of everyones garbage yesterday, then watched the pups while my wife completed

some tasks.  Had planned on going to check on the guy inspecting the Baja this morn and dropping

off the crankshaft to the machine shop but now I might be to tired from getting up in the middle

of my night.

Great Jim's Nissan is finished and picked up, hope he's happy with the work.  The work is difficult and

it's difficult to find someone that can and will do it well.

Sounds like a good trip Paul, new experiences and meeting new people.

Tried to use the pool net to clean webs away from one of the camera lenses and get the guest to move

but I see this morn he's moved in and made himself at home.  Will keep wiping away his web and hope

he eventually finds a new home.

Have a A1C diabetes blood test coming up soon.  Dread it because my home tests have been to high.  It's

hard to get Glucose low and keep it there.  Long for the days when my regulators worked with no effort.

Have to live with the results.  I should get a real diabetes doctor instead of relying on a family doctor but

then I might get a die hard pill pusher.

Yes, hope good news from Kitty.

Good weather for everyone to enjoy.  We're supposed to get no chance of rain until next Tuesday as of now.

Hi Paul,

Some of the best food and drinks are often served at “old school” restaurants.  Nice that you found such a place in your trip.

Lake Erie is supposedly known for its perch. Other than a “dive” located about ten miles west called the Sand Bar, I have never found it to be that great!

Sunny, but cool here.  Lawn care needs to mow… our grass is very very green and long!

Hi Ernie,

I think the housing market has slowed down in our western suburbs. There was a time when you did not see a For Sale sign because homes sold, often before the sign went up!  Homes in our hood were going for well over $300,000 plus OVER what they had previously sold for!!  I considered it for a hot moment but then knowing I would have to pay dearly for a condo similar to the one I own. I love the condo concept and plan to stay.

It’s always exciting to purchase flowers. I adhere to the rule of waiting until almost Memorial Day.  You will have to forward pictures!

I will say a prayer that your glucose levels will be norm.  Here in the Cleveland Clinic land…. They are all about Specialists. I would rather see one Primary Care Physician but you have no choice.

Carry On!       Susan

Good morning Susan and all.  42 here this morn, will be a comfortable walk.  Yesterday I was to tired when it came time to

get ready for our walk.  Don't want to be short tempered on our walk, they're a handful sometimes and can drain me keeping

them out of harms way.  I took them up the mountain woods later in the day for a shorter walk.

Our flowers are here.  The ladies tell me they don't get a good selection after Mother's Day.  I paid for the first $200 of the cost.

Wife plans on putting the pups through one of those training courses this month.  Told her they train her to train the dogs and

only needs to pay for one but she wants to take both with our grandson helping.  The flowers really make the pool area in the

Summer.   My daughter started it way back when she lived at home and worked at the greenhouse where they still get flowers.

I saw that my dad was getting flowers towards the end so I started getting him hanging baskets and center pieces.  So I learned

a little about them.  Most years I pick up some more hanging baskets at the Farmer's Market for the pool area.  they're usually

different than the ones from the greenhouse, smaller businesses and they probably can pay more attention to each one.

I finally got the chevy crankshaft over to the machine shop but the thrust plate on it was worn to badly to use so came back home

and got another but it would cost some to sandblast the rust of it so the machinist is going to get me a core from his collection,

will be cheaper.  Other ones I have are in engines and I don't want to use them for this.  His core is only $30 so it's not a big deal.

Glad he pointed out the defects on the original.  So it's likely the cause of the problems the engine was having.  Losing oil pressure

and banging towards the end.  Didn't use it very long.  Suspect it was used for stock car racing or to high of RPM on the street.  I go

to the red line on engines but don't stay there long.

Probably make it down to the farm today see my brother and sister.  Mainly have to work on the mower for a while and mow the

lawn.  I'm not going to be able to keep up well with the lawn,  Will need mowing in less than a week lots of times and I will be spacing

trips out to at least 2 weeks.  Will be clumps of grass but will be mowed at least.  If I go down there every week it will be more mileage

than driving to work and will be lots of maintenance on my vehicles, to much expense and work.

Was hoping to see news from Kitty today, soon maybe.  Hope for good news.

I started the last job in my career at Memorial Day and retired then.

Have a great day all.  Will be riding bike down to the farm today.

What a glorious Friday here by the shores of Lake Erie.  We all shared an almost perfect sunset at our lovely lake park.

Enjoy the weekend. Happy Mother’s Day to all of our beloved Mothers. Susan

A beautiful picture. Starting to get too warm for me. Too warm to jog anyway.
