Hi Ernie,
I think the housing market has slowed down in our western suburbs. There was a time when you did not see a For Sale sign because homes sold, often before the sign went up! Homes in our hood were going for well over $300,000 plus OVER what they had previously sold for!! I considered it for a hot moment but then knowing I would have to pay dearly for a condo similar to the one I own. I love the condo concept and plan to stay.
It’s always exciting to purchase flowers. I adhere to the rule of waiting until almost Memorial Day. You will have to forward pictures!
I will say a prayer that your glucose levels will be norm. Here in the Cleveland Clinic land…. They are all about Specialists. I would rather see one Primary Care Physician but you have no choice.
Carry On! Susan

Good morning Susan and all. 42 here this morn, will be a comfortable walk. Yesterday I was to tired when it came time to
get ready for our walk. Don't want to be short tempered on our walk, they're a handful sometimes and can drain me keeping
them out of harms way. I took them up the mountain woods later in the day for a shorter walk.
Our flowers are here. The ladies tell me they don't get a good selection after Mother's Day. I paid for the first $200 of the cost.
Wife plans on putting the pups through one of those training courses this month. Told her they train her to train the dogs and
only needs to pay for one but she wants to take both with our grandson helping. The flowers really make the pool area in the
Summer. My daughter started it way back when she lived at home and worked at the greenhouse where they still get flowers.
I saw that my dad was getting flowers towards the end so I started getting him hanging baskets and center pieces. So I learned
a little about them. Most years I pick up some more hanging baskets at the Farmer's Market for the pool area. they're usually
different than the ones from the greenhouse, smaller businesses and they probably can pay more attention to each one.
I finally got the chevy crankshaft over to the machine shop but the thrust plate on it was worn to badly to use so came back home
and got another but it would cost some to sandblast the rust of it so the machinist is going to get me a core from his collection,
will be cheaper. Other ones I have are in engines and I don't want to use them for this. His core is only $30 so it's not a big deal.
Glad he pointed out the defects on the original. So it's likely the cause of the problems the engine was having. Losing oil pressure
and banging towards the end. Didn't use it very long. Suspect it was used for stock car racing or to high of RPM on the street. I go
to the red line on engines but don't stay there long.
Probably make it down to the farm today see my brother and sister. Mainly have to work on the mower for a while and mow the
lawn. I'm not going to be able to keep up well with the lawn, Will need mowing in less than a week lots of times and I will be spacing
trips out to at least 2 weeks. Will be clumps of grass but will be mowed at least. If I go down there every week it will be more mileage
than driving to work and will be lots of maintenance on my vehicles, to much expense and work.
Was hoping to see news from Kitty today, soon maybe. Hope for good news.
I started the last job in my career at Memorial Day and retired then.
Have a great day all. Will be riding bike down to the farm today.

What a glorious Friday here by the shores of Lake Erie. We all shared an almost perfect sunset at our lovely lake park.
Enjoy the weekend. Happy Mother’s Day to all of our beloved Mothers. Susan

A beautiful picture. Starting to get too warm for me. Too warm to jog anyway.
Happy Mother's Day, Susan. Enjoy the farm, Ernie.

Good morning all. 55 here this morn, have to think about what to wear for our walk. Our sunsets are
supposed to be reddish from the smoke coming down from Calgary fires. Is pretty. Very warm here
yesterday, around 80, so didn't do much work with all the cooler days. We still don't have rain in the
forecast.
Happy Mother's Day Susan, Kitty. Miss my mom. Just had steamed clams at a restaurant in PA. My mom
used to have those once a year when I was growing up. Many years since I've had them.
Darn spider made a web over a camera lens again. Will clean it off sometime when I don't think the dogs
will bark at the commotion. Looks like the camera motion light is staying on.
Wife and grandson leaving north today to visit her parents. I'm staying back with the rowdy dogs. Still to
much for people even older than I am.
I'm still waiting for a ribbon cable from Kenwood northeast. Ordered it April 7th. Has to come from Japan.
Would have thought I would have it by now.
Enjoy the beautiful weekend all.

You also enjoy, Ernie.
3:19 sounds too early for me to be up. Meeting my sister and nieces today. High of 80 here, I don't want any warmer.

Good morning Paul and all. 48 here this morn, warmer than they forecast, lucky. Only supposed to be
63 this afternoon. I haven't seen my sister's kids in many years but did see my sister last week. She
runs north to help my brother on the farm and I run south. We live about 150 miles apart.
I cleaned a lot of the tree seeds and such off the pool cover and drained the water, will probably be
dry by this afternoon. Wife is up north visiting her parents so I have to try to use concrete blocks to
aid me in removing the cover. Most of the time we can't be replaced with concrete blocks.
I have to be up early Paul. The dogs don't bond with us nearly as quick with their sister beside them.
It's taken me 1.5 years to teach them about traffic and they still burst out into the road if they see
something. Only takes one mistake. Most drivers don't care about dogs. I have to step out for them
to even notice. If they hit me it might slow their trip. I have put my body out to keep dogs from being hit
quite a few times. Right now I 'm waking up, drinking my only caffeine coffee of the day and bringing my
brain up to par. Before I take the dogs out on the road risking our lives. I worry about the person that
wants to kill us. Has always been a risk in this world.
Think we reached 76 here yesterday. I waited for 71 to take the pups out for their evening walk in the
woods.
My mom died with lung cancer almost 36 years ago so can't see her today but then I was the youngest
and my wife the oldest in her family so my mom would be very old today, almost 100. Wife's mom is in
mid 80s. Miss my mom terribly.
I'm enjoying this nice weather, especially after that rain front that spun over us for 7 days.
Have a great day all.

GM Ernie, I guess it's much harder to train two dogs than one.
Enjoy the day everyone.

Good morning Paul and all. 35 going down here, had to bring in all the new flowers for the night.
Forecast changed, all nights were 40 and above. Now many are in the 30s.
The pool cover not dry yet, decided to wait until I have help to fold it across the pool surface. Then
will dry for at least a day before I store it away. Think our Tuesday showers aren't forecast anymore.
Yesterday I mowed with the rider, the one bank and ditch with the hand mower. I see the old mower
deck is starting to gouge the grass because it's rusting away and holes are up to one of the mandrell
pulleys. Will have to get the spare deck painted and installed. Wasn't sure how much time I had. Just
took the dogs for their eve walk when wife arrived back home. So an excited walk.
Must have been a cooler day in the city, 63 here.
Have a great day all. Still no word from Kitty.
