i want to also like congratulate the mostly quit group of us that mostly did not smoke this year. Thats the other clubhouse, probably 93% made it there. Mostly no one is smoking as much as they did for sure in that clubhouse...Congratulations out to you folks also..

Hey, It’s good to hear from you Overdoz. I definitely agree with you on congratulations to the 93% group too. I have read on here that only about 7% of people who are quitting actually make it to one year. I’m convinced that figure must be some overall figure because I am sure the percentage has to be higher for all the folks using this forum. And when you consider how many cigarettes people on here did not smoke because of the forum, it’s really mind boggling.
I know you’ve had some really good quit periods this past year, so definitely congratulations on your year as well.

How is the weather in your area so far? We haven’t reached bitter cold yet and I dread when it gets here because I like being outside. I did clean out my garage this past weekend on my off days. Usually do that in early Fall but seems like I kept putting it off this year. Figured I better get it done before really cold temps get here.

Hope you’re having a good week and Happy Thanksgiving too! I have to work 12 hours Thanksgiving so I definitely won’t be overeating this year. Lol

Hi Jr, thanks. We had an unusual cold spell about 3 weeks back with a little snow, really unusual now temps are back to normal about in the 40's. It was just crazy windy today like 60-70 mph wind gusts, i could feel the building swaying in the apartment that im in, I dont know usually in Chicago January is frigid and a good part of February, it seems after March 1, the weather starts turning around and heading towards spring. I hope you have a nice thanksgiving, im hanging with family at noon tomorrow and then gonna buy some pizza for some friends.

Yes!  Congrats to you and  the "other club house" members for an almost smoke free year.  But as you said  the on off again thing has got to be torture.  Happy Thanksgiving and again good goings

Hi Overdoz. Congratulations to you as well for all your smoke free time and for continuously working to improve yourself. You've been a big support and friend to me throughout this year and I appreciate it. Not here as often as I'd like to be, life just got in the way, but I still check in from time to time and try to give some support to others when I can.  Way to go on the fasting, that's great!  Wishing you the very best this holiday season.

Thanks, yeah i tried a few different ways to keep weight steady, but am trying not eating at all, not starvation, but a fast. I have been reading as much as i can about it, and you lose a lot of weight. I try to not eat for 3 days straight once per month, well this is the second  month now, and then do intermittent fast like eat at noon and then dinner and thats it. I hope you try it.

Happy Holidays Blue and to all of our group.  Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  It is amazing that we have made it through the entire year of 2019 without nicotine or cigarettes. May we all continue on successfully with our quits.
