Hi Jan,

Congratulations on the clubhouse! One thing I like about this forum is that everybody understands this achievement and level of commitment required to reach this point.

I know it is still not easy but this 1 year milestone is very important for all us because

1. Only 1 cigarette can break this milestone and take us back to that nasty addiction which we don't want.

2. If we can survive 1 year without smoking than we can live without it for the rest of our life.

Celebrate big as you deserve it.

Thank you for being a support throughout this journey.

Regards,

Asad

Thank you Asad.... yes made in through a journey I never want to experience again so, as you say, if we can survive 1 year we are going give the next 20 a darn good try lol

No need to thank me Asad... your support has meant a lot to me too... you always remembered my date (even being a day early on this leap year lol) and it has been so good to have someone who quit at the same time to exchange notes with

Your club house date is fast approaching.... I shall be looking out for you :)

Hey Jan,

Welcome to the Clubhouse! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you on ONE YEAR SMOKE FREE! So happy for you and your wonderful achievement. Quitting is one of the hardest things for a smoker to do but you did it! The beginning of the journey, moving forward from that first day, is a roller coaster but when we hold on and persevere it’s definitely worth the ride. You made it month after month until you reached this amazing milestone. You have so much to be proud of, for yourself and for the inspiration your journey provides to others. We’re all proud of you also. Love your new key too! I hope you’ve been enjoying a great day. I know you couldn’t celebrate off the forum, having been a secret smoker, but nonetheless I hope you treated yourself to something special. On toward year two! YAY YOU!

Congratulations!! It is always so great to see another successful quitter make it to the One Year Clubhouse! It's monumental. All that hard struggle got you to this point. Year 2 is a breeze so just keep up the great job and watch out for that just one thinking as it takes 2 years to have an 80% chance of remaining quit for life. You are truly going to inspire new quitters as they all need the hope that the misery does end. You've proven that you are no sissy! Way to Go!

Hi Susan..so sorry for the delay.  Had issues with getting email notices that I have messages on the forum. Thanks so much for the good wishes..when did you quit?? I hit one year today and it's almost surreal that I am here...that I made it!! Taking this an hour at a time to start, then a day at a time makes it seem like forever sometimes.  But after one year, I am so very grateful to be smober!! With all this virus pandemic,  my lungs at least have a stronger fighting chance than they would a year ago. Wherever you are in your quit, dont EVER give it up.  Dont ever look back, there's nothing there worth going in reverse. Take care and NOPE!!! Cheryl

Hi Asad..I want to say your excitement about quitting and your encouragement to all of March 2019 quitters was such a help! Congratulationd to you!! I pray your quit lasts a lifetime and that you never miss that old nicodeamon..he's only trouble and sorrow.  In this time of virus fears and shut downs stay healthy and safe,  Asad!
