Congrats to you, Terry! It's 20 years minus 1 year and 3 days quitaversary for you! It's also a couple of weeks before 10 years anniversary for me - thanks to this incredible support community!
All the new quitters, you can do this! It's the best thing you can do for yourself - to quit smoking!
And all of you, wonderful quitters, leading the fight against this addiction, every hour and day spent breathing wonderful clean air!
Where are all the October folks? Are there no smokers left because everyone already quit smoking as soon as they learned that nicotine binds nearly every single immune cell in human body?!

This is really great achievement. Congratulations!
This is non smoking forum though. If you want to comment on politics or something else I'm sure you'll find one somewhere else. Best of luck

Straight from another Country...comes the wisdom. Thank you Jaka.
It is always the best approach to say and do things that bring people together, or at least inspire them to think for themselves rather than to act as a Lemming leaping from a cliff into an Abyss.
For us, we are in a kinder and safer space to support each other here. It is bad enough the occasional arguments on NRT vs. Cold Turkey!

Thank you! Being quit is worth every single suffering moment to go through.

I'm sorry, are you saying that talking about nonsmoking role models is a little bit controversial and derisive? That would be like straight from the tobacco lobby playbook.

I didn't see anything wrong with your posts. The white house must have needed allot of work to get rid of all that second hand smoke film. It is also good to see a leader who doesn't smoke. I am sure there are many leaders out there who do not smoke as well. Cheers to your celebration for years and years of non-smoking.

Please write somewhere else with politically charged comments is what we are asking. Stoking flames with overt political references is not the most supportive for most folks here. If what you truly meant to convey, that the White House smelled of smoke, we all know how differently and easily that could have, and perhaps should have been said. That building has been smoked in off and on for many years, pipes, cigarettes, cigars... It is best to avoid such overtly divisive and derisive comments here. We are all here because at one point we all supported Big Tobacco.
Thanks!
And yes, Congrats on your smoking cessation!
