Hi Joel!
Right, not much suspense. But very funny! It will build some drama as it goes too, but I do t want to spoil. It is one of those fun shows that just makes you relax and not have a heavy heart. I love the mom! I love how she handles the dad.. Watch a few and let me know your thoughts. You will have many laughs I think at least.
Yes...I am concerned about Covid. I think we all should be. Largely, most people do ok. And the death rate has gone down as we learn more. Still, it is more deadly than influenza for sure. And much more unpredictable. That is the thing; the unpredictability. There are a lot of things we see now in people that had it a few months ago. Trouble with blood clots and all kinds of stuff. There are possibly some long term mental effects and chronic fatigue. I think the most scary thing, like I said in another post, is you can have an 80 year old do ok, and a 30 year old die or go on a ventilator. Plus here, there are a lot of added unexpected medical expenses. Our health care system is abominable for the nation we are and is largely built solely on profit for insurance companies. I will leave it at that as I don’t want to start a political argument here with anyone for sure, but suffice it to say, our system is broken. I will add, I do not know the answers to fixing it. It is a very complex problem!
Kitty is doing better today, yay! This makes me happy.
How many days do you work a week? So it is hard still to see people go out for smoke breaks? Well, celebrate that you do not need to do this! You can actually relax for real and feel peaceful. So nice, right?

Just two days a week Lorie, and they are night shifts too :D. I like it. I dont want to sit idle.It covers my expenses too. Today i got enrolled for full time French classes. I will start my classes by Mid-November. Its online too. Covid completely took over the lifestyle of students and children. I really dont support online classes. But for the timebeing, there are no other options. Two days of work and two days of classes makes me well engaged.
Yes, there is not a common pattern for victims dieing due to Covid. Almost everyone are vulnerable that makes it more difficult to handle and no one really knows the side effects of the vaccines that are developed without being time tested.A complex problem for sure.
I do enjoy all shows but suspense, thrillers are my favorite.i know movies are not real life, i see horror but i am completely sure its someones imagination and it cant be true in real life. When i say horror, its not some evil entities luring for blood, its more soft and makes us think.Have you seen the movie "the others" by Nicole Kidman. Its my favorite when it comes to horror.i definitely recommend you to see this. It wont give you a heart attack like the conjuring series. When it comes to thrillers, my favorites are seven, silence of the lambs.. The list goes so long. I really like spanish crime thrillers too. They really have great stories.Sometimes, my orientation towards the genres may change as i get older.Nowadays its hard to find shows with good plot or stories. Kims conveniance is really good!so funny. I do like funny stuff too.i am watching the complete series. Deal. And i need you to watch the others.. Ok? Tell me how you felt.

No Lorie, its not hard now to see people rushing for smoking. Getting comfortable. I know, from my last experience, there will be crossing of wires, but these tests are moulding me to success, right?

Hi Lorie, how are you today?i hope you are enjoying the day.i am so happy for you Lorie. You are a great support to everyone coming here. I was just reading Lukes forum. He is doing a pretty good job right? I have an illustrative pdf of Alan Car. It really did a great job. I dont know if people are aware of that book. Its a book of 17 mb i tried to upload but its not as the forum has limitations. As for me helping others is increasing my confidence and reinforces my quit resolution. Its a wonderful feeling. Helping one quit smoking.

Hi Lorie, i just have a doubt. In Alan cars book, they are telling willpower itsself isnt going to do the work. Why is it? I would like to hear your opinion.

Good morning Joel!
Good to hear from you. Yes, Luke is doing a very good job and I saw the very sweet and kind things you said about me. Maybe you give me too much credit though?
I believe that is absolutely correct Joel that willpower alone is not enough. I will write more later on my thoughts, and please keep in mind they are only the simple thoughts of a fellow addict and I don’t know any more than anybody else really. Just trying to find my way like all of us are!
I think if you try to leave it to willpower alone, you are creating a struggle in your mind between your wiser self that doesn’t want to smoke for so many reasons, and your addict self. I see the addict as a small separate piece that is in there trying to win all the other pieces over to its side, so to speak. Or to get the other pieces to give in and give it what it wants, the nicotine. So when we leave it to willpower we are leaving it to a struggle or a battle with ourself, rather than learning to accept the addict and teach it other things over time. It will always be there, and always be vulnerable, but over time, I believe it learns to want the nicotine less. Over time the wiser self can also become more centered and in control. But...most struggles usually remain just that, a struggle. What we really want to do is re-train this addict, not fight with it. Addiction to things can be healthy too, right? It is not necessarily a bad piece, but one that needs acceptance and nurturing and training.
Does any of this make ANY sense?? Lol!
10/22/20
That makes perfect sense Lorie.. You always clears my doubts.that worked for me too, seeing the addict within myself as a separate identity trying to conquer every aspects of my life.
