Hi Joel,
Four days quit going into my fifth, all's good Missed a patch for a few days, but put a new one on this morning so I don't put myself under undue pressure, taken it one day at a time and hoping for the best. I am 71 yrs of age and have had numerous quits, trying to make this one stick. Smoked for 40 years have spent most of this year quit, longest quit this year was 10 weeks. I am married and my partner is a smoker, makes it hard when they're in the house all the time, I just have to keep my distance, partner smokes outside. Good luck with your quit
Kind regards
Anthony

Hi Anthony
Congratulations on your fifth day!you are doing great.Having a partner who smokes is really a challenge..i hope she too will quit for good.i have no much life experience as you.i have been smoking for 1 year and i recognized its taking control over my life.i am 26 year old.i believe even if its one year or 40 year of smoking, with right attitude and commitment, the effort of quiting might be equal and we can enjoy the freedom from this addiction that we will recieve in the coming days.keep connected.
Kind regards
Joel

Yeah - I especially like the parts:
"She said to visualize the cravings rolling over me in waves and to understand that these cravings are an indication of my body re-adjusting and healing itself. This was a true light bulb moment for me and directly led to my salvation."
"I found that I started to embrace the challenge of the process of recovery from nicotine addiction. The real fun began when I made a game of it. I analyzed my triggers and devised strategies to deal with them. The joy of seeing my strategies work was powerful reinforcement for me and lifted my self-esteem tremendously."
You can change your experience by changing your mind - it takes less than a second.

Hi Joel,
Maybe easier to write here and then things don’t get lost with the ones you don’t know. So you are 19 days now? That’s fantastic!

Good morning Joel!
Gald you are feeling happy! I’m feeling pretty good but could have slept more. It is a rainy day here now and that always makes me want to nap. I’m glad I don’t smoke now and am constantly thinking about the next one in the rain.

Yes Lore, i am very glad you are enjoying the freedom from the damn addiction. Here, its the fall and its the most beautiful month of the year. I have classes online and we are actually 4 members doing an integration project in computer networks and security.we might have some drinks in the evening but i am pretty sure i wont smoke again. I dont want those miserable days again. And you like to take small naps? Me too. Its very peaceful.

Yes, naps are the best. I am working this weekend so naps. Took a lot early in my quit and it really helped. Be careful with the drinks. It seems to be the downfall for a lot of folks. I don’t drink really so that is not a connection that was hard for me.
Have a nice day tomorrow!
