Good afternoon Lorie! I am so happy you like 'Lorie'. Yes!someone said 'life begins at 60 right'? Its so true! As long as we are living in the moment, age is just a number.i believe as we get older, life gets more meaningful. Is that so?Wow.. 27!there is something so special that happened to you in 27!that must be adorable. It gives you chills right??i could somehow feel how 27 would be but 43,it might be entirely different right? Is  43 more relaxing and peaceful than 27?is it more romantic??If you ever had a chance to go back to 27,will you dare to go..?

Kambucha? I am hearing it for the first time Lorie. What is it?

Yes, i should start exercizing... I am glad that i didnt add up weight after quiting smoking. Its almost a month now????

Way to go Joel!! Strong work! muscleclapraised_hands

Oh my, haha! I do not know about life beginning at 60! That is far off and I hope to get there and let you know! As a NON smoker the odds of this are much better.
To be truthful, no...I would not go back. Only and maybe only IF I could really know what I do now. But that would spoil the journey!
As far as more peaceful, yes. I think I’ve learned to relax more with most things and realize that most things in time, work out, and so yes, this brings more peace. As far as romance? Well, that too is ageless maybe. I will say that as we get older we find many other things almost as equally fulfilling. Like chocolate milk!joy
Mostly...I don’t want to waste any more years of my life smoking and I do think as we get older this becomes more clear as we stop seeing ourselves as invincible.

So, Kombucha! Yes. Look it up first. Then go to your local maybe health food store and ask and they will show you where it is. It should be in a cooler. There are kinds with alcohol and kinds without. I make and drink the without. Basically, it is a fermented tea. It is fermented by what is called a SCOBY. This looks like a bit of a slimy pancake that floats on top in the jar. You make tea, make it sweet with sugar, then the SCOBY eats the sugar and ferments the tea as it goes. You end of with bubbly tea and you can also do a second ferment and add flavors, of pretty much anything! I also make a kind that is called “Jun” Kombucha so look that up too. It is my favorite now. You have to use raw honey instead of sugar and I love the honey taste it leaves! You also have to be careful because you can ferment it too long and it explodes! Hahaha!

Thankyou!!!

Lorie, i want you to hit 100.Yes, knowing what is going to happen,it could destroy the journey. The true essence of life lies in its uncertainty right?

If i could ever get  an opportunity to gift you something, it will be a whole barrel  of chocolate milk with less sugar made special for you.

Kombucha is worth definitely giving a try. Is it readily available in shops?

Sorry for my bad English Lorie. I am not talented in English as you.you used the term 'odds of getting there are much better'. Now i i know what you meant. You conveyed that as a non smoker, the chances of you reaching 60's are increased dramatically right?odds mean unfavourable? Can you please explain so that i can be a pro like you in English.

Oh Joel, your English is just fine! But on the subject, do you speak French? This is common and native language where you are, right?

So, if I say by not smoking the “odds are better” for me to reach 60, yes, this means the “odds are in my favor” making it more likely it will happen.
The term “odds” can be used either in favor or against, so that makes this one a bit harder to understand.
English is a very hard language. One of the things I love about here is meeting people from all over. I have to remember not assume they understand always our crazy idioms. I hope you will always ask if it isn’t clear.
You are very sweet Joel. I will be waiting for this barrel of chocolate milk some day for sure!blush

Yes, do you have a natural food store or a health food store there? They should have Kombucha. We have it in our regular grocery stores here too, but I’m not sure if this is true everywhere.

That makes sense Lorie. I just got confused with the word odds. No! I dont know French too. I am from India. I came Montreal for my postgraduate studies in computer networks.

I know! What part of India?
I ask because I think Americans are about the only place in the developed “free” world that are taught only one language. Reminds me of a joke. Want to hear it? Ok, not the same writing as in person, but here goes!

What do you call a person that speaks 3 languages? Trilingual

What do you call a person who speaks 2 languages? Bilingual

What do you call a person who speaks 1 language? American!

I joke about this but am just as guilty mostly. I did go to Oaxaca before my daughter was born for a couple of months to do a Spanish Immersion program. I don’t use it enough to be proficient for sure, but can scrape by if necessary. If you ever get the chance to go there Joel you should do it. It is an absolutely gorgeous part of Mexico. Also, I thought maybe you had picked Montreal because you maybe knew French. What is your native language called?
I also speak the language of chocolate milk! Haha!stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

English is so powerful language.. My mother tongue is called Malayalam. I bet you havent heard ofhaha. I too agree with that. There should be one universal language but it should not be imposed in a way that destroy the culture and tradition of the minorities. Infact i was able to communicate with you because of this language. How do you see people from other communities Lorie? I know there are Americans who discriminate people based on their color. I have a fair complexion but still i have faced some discrimination, subtle though. I am not telling you are like that. But it still persists  right? Its so painful
