Marine combat veteran kills 12 in rampage at California bar

Teens in a Bar having fun are not the enemy!!!!

Among the dead included a man who had survived last year's massacre in Las Vegas, a veteran sheriff's deputy who rushed in to confront the gunman, a 22-year-old man who planned to join the Army, a freshman at nearby Pepperdine University and a recent Cal Lutheran graduate.

THOUSAND OAKS, California:

Terrified patrons hurled barstools through windows to escape or threw their bodies protectively on top of friends as a Marine combat veteran killed 12 people at a country music bar in an attack that added Thousand Oaks to the tragic roster of American cities traumatized by mass shootings.

Dressed all in black with his hood pulled up, the gunman apparently took his own life as scores of police converged on the Borderline Bar and Grill in Southern California.

The motive for the rampage late Wednesday night was under investigation.

The killer , Ian David Long, 28, was a former machine-gunner and Afghanistan war veteran who was interviewed by police at his home last spring after an episode of agitated behaviour that authorities were told might be post-traumatic stress disorder.

Opening fire with a handgun with an illegal, extra-capacity magazine, Long shot a security guard outside the bar and then went in and took aim at employees and customers, authorities said. He also used a smoke bomb, according to a law enforcement official who was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

A shocking shooting almost every week

- California Bar Shooter Was a Veteran Who May Have Had PTSD

Inside Edition Published on 8 Nov 2018

Authorities have identified the shooter at a California bar as Ian David Long, a Marine combat veteran who may have suffered from PTSD. The 28-year-old lived with his mother on a quiet street in the town of Newbury Park. FBI agents descended on the bungalow-style house early Thursday morning. The Borderline Bar and Grill, the scene of the mass shooting that left 13 people dead including the gunman, is just seven miles from Long’s home. He took his mother's car to make the 15-minute drive.

The murderer was recognized as Ian David Long, a 28-year-old veteran who authorities said had several incidents of erratic manners. So why was he allowed to own guns, that's the actual dilemma.

Blaming the deaths on a long magazine is not much more original than blaming California fires on the carbon content of brush.

Had he a California legal magazine (5 rounds), he would have had to reload several times, and if he was ANY kind of weapons person, that would take 5 seconds, more or less, per change.

Western GUN-hoe!!!

The genuine issue is not about gun ownership, which is common throughout the world, but about the high incidence of people killing each other. There is no other ''Western Society,'' where mass shootings happen on such a regular basis. There has to be something fundamentally wrong with the American way of existence. Perhaps the continuous stress of pursuing wealth and gauging one's worth on cash might be a contributing factor. They always said that "money is the root of all evil" -- Take that to the next height and you might ask "why are they sending young people to fight in foreign countries?"

Possibly it is because there is vast unexploited wealth in those countries that some greedy Billionaires want to acquire for low expenditure?

We surely know that the recent Middle Eastern wars were not American nationalistic! Their hooligan gangs should have been ignored and let them have had their dictators like Saddam and Ghaddafi to kill their own redundant gangs!

The U.S.A should stop being everyone's big daddy protector, because they aren't doing a great job!
