Hi, everyone. I'm working on an art project, and I need a simple recipe to complete it. I was thinking of either hummus or pesto. If you have any favorite recipes for either of these, please post them! Thanks!

Hummus by the seat of your pants

Can of chickpeas
1/4 c or so tahini
clove of garlic (or more to taste)
Olive oil

Process above in food processor or mash all together by hand till a thick paste. Serve with chips, veggies and/or pita

Does that help? I think I remembered it... I did it by memory. Now I'm hungry LOL

That's good! I did manage to find Tarty's recipe for pesto in another thread, and I found some info through google. Thanks!

Hummus
2 cans garbonzo beans
2 tablespoons Tahina (seasame paste)
juice from one lemmon
6 cloves of garlic
dash of pepper, cumin and tumeric
olive oil

Blend all the ingredients except for olive oil in a food processor. Add olive oil to get desired consistancy.

Pesto
2 cups basil leaves
1/4 cup parmagane (sp, way off, I know)
at least 3 cloves garlic
1/4 cup pinon nuts
pepper to taste
Olive Oil

Same thing as the hummus, mix in food processor and add olive oil to get the consistancy you want.

Sounds interesting!

And if I was taking care of you, who would take care of my DH and the Boo?

<sigh> Hadn't thought about that. Oh, well, guess I'll just have to take care of myself, as usual. ;-)
