I'm so glad to see you all still here. I haven't been back to this forum much since I moved back into my parents house a few years ago.
Anyway. I need to pick your collective brains;

This fall I was put back in touch with a highschool sweet-heart that I've never really gotten over.
I found out that he had joined the Army, was stationed in Germany and was coming home for Christmas before heading over to Iraq. I met up with him and couldn't believe what a stupid girl I had been so long ago to let him slip out of my life. Sorry- I'm rambling....
Anyway. I just got an e-mail that he has landed in Saudi Arabia and will be in Iraq for a year. I want to make a protection spell/charm for him. He is religious(Christian), but I don't think that matters. I don't know what they can get away with wearing that isn't standard issue, or what I'm really aiming at.

I've not really don't much formal magic workings, just dabbled in energy raising and possative thought/meditation. To tell you the truth I've always been kind of scared to go into it much further than that due to a fear of doing something wrong and causing damage....(personality flaw...)

Any suggestions?

I'm not even apposed to buying a "protection charm" and enbibing it with poss. energy or something like that....

Jenn, as for jewelry, he can wear pretty much anything like a necklace. Know most commanders and such don't care much if you wear rings or bracelets as long as they aren't overly loud. In other words, as long as it's fairly subdude it should pass muster, but, necklaces are a safe choice. Silver has worked for me in the past know there are some stones that are good for that sort of stuff, but, I don't know what type.

How about a rune necklace? Algiz is commonly used as a rune of protection. It looks like a straight vertical line with two straight "arms" pointing upwards
