What I think is scary is that (from second hand, not sure if it was a direct quote) President Bush apparently says he's been assigned by God to lead the US? That sounds a little too Hitleresque to me; if I remember right Hitler thought his mission was divine too. It's different if a person says that it's God's will that they get involved in politics to make a change in the world, but the way The President put it is kind of unnearving. A slight majority of the American people voted him in, not God. [Edited for spelling.]

Personally, I think we need a reprieve from the apostates and heretics.

Apostate - a person who uses a religion for personal gain, often at the expense of said religion

'nuff said.

I was actually thinking of the French King Louis XVI. He was king leading into the Revolution. The kings at that time thought that they essentially had been chosen by God. Possibly given a "mandate."

I just hope it doesn't turn out that bloody.
