Well that is obvious...

You have to make them inside out...

Hot dog buns are made of leavened bread. The "batter" of a corn dog is not considered leavened (no yeast).

So either you are safe, or you can't have deep fried mushrooms either.

Glad to clear that up.

After sitting down with coffee and cigars for a few hours, I came to this conclusion - the hotdogs have to be uncooked. Says so in the book. (Yes, I have a copy of the Principia Discordia, when Steve Jackson games released it.) When you make a corndog, the hotdog inside is cooked, so no, corndogs don't count, unless you are one of the Texas offshoots I keep hearing about.

Luckily, I am not a discordian. :)

Are you saying the hotdog on a bun would have to be an uncooked hotdog, or the dog within the cornbatter would have to remain uncooked as the batter cooks? (Seems like an interesting science project...)

From what I've read, Discordians are supposed to eat uncooked hotdogs (without the bun) on Fridays. They do this because they're eating meat on a day when Catholics don't eat meat, and pork based, because Jewish people don't eat pork. Personally, though, I prefer either Mac and Cheese or peanut butter sandwiches, because they're cheaper.

From the Five Commandments, in the Principia Discordia:

"III - A Discordian is Required during his early Illumination to Go Off Alone & Partake Joyously of a Hot Dog on a Friday; this Devotive Ceremony to Remonstrate against the popular Paganisms of the Day: of Catholic Christendom (no meat on Friday), of Judaism (no meat of Pork), of Hindic Peoples (no meat of Beef), of Buddhists (no meat of animal), and of Discordians (no Hot Dog Buns)."

Looks like corn dogs still qualify :P
