LILLEY: Let's have a sane conversation on COVID without the fringe

Time to dispose of two fallacies – the do-nothing crowd and the COVID Zero crowd

I’d like to have an honest conversation about COVID-19 with the sane people of Ontario, but to do that, we have to ignore two very loud and boisterous groups in the online world. Those who think we can get to COVID Zero by locking down and those who think we should just open up everything now and we will be fine.

Neither of these groups has a firm grasp on reality.

The COVID Zero crowd seem to think that if we just lockdown harder, things will be better. In fact, the line often is, ‘If Doug Ford had acted sooner, we wouldn’t be in this mess.’

anguished  A bewildering question that keeps bugging me:

'How extra-large companies make a decision what is good for everyone to settle on mass-censorships to keep the COVID-19 lies spreading!?
