Alan Watts opens up about Religion - thought provoking video
May 14, 2022 Dorothy Shelton
Alan Watts opens up about Jesus and the true religion. The image of Jesus is owned by the church traditions and authorities. He has been molded to fit the interests of the church patriarchs for centuries, so much so that the prevailing image of Jesus is now so far removed from what he truly represented. Specifically energy from the future that appeared on planet earth to bring illumination and knowledge to humanity. The reason why the Jesus/Joshua personality came to earth was to create an opening or doorway to a different state of consciousness. He wanted to set an example of the possibilities that are available to each human being. He wanted to hold up a mirror to human beings and remind them of their own origin and the dormant potentials they carried within. And potentially harmony, freedom and mastership over oneself.

"Of all the tyrannies that affect mankind, tyranny in religion is the worst."

AMAZING THOUGHTFUL QUOTE
15/6/22
The fairy tales about faith is totally man-made. There's no tangible evidence some "God" of any sort ever subsist mambo-jumbo. The merely sincere respond is "we don't know" if there's a spiritual operator in any fictional heavens.

Watts became an Episcopal priest in 1945, then left the ministry in 1950 and moved to California, where he joined the faculty of the American Academy of Asian Studies.
