Sitting in Church this morning getting texts from Mark, then his brother. Mark went to urgent care this morning they sent him to the hospital. Heart issues. I left in the middle of the service, went home, thew stuff in bags, grabbed the dog and was driving to Colorado half an hour later.
I made it to the hospital at 7 so I got to visit till 8. He is in good spirits but needs to make some serious life changes. They might let him out tomorrow after some more tests. They said he came in before there was any damage so that part is good.

HOLY SHIT, Ami. That is absolutely astonishing news. Several, simultaneous thoughts run through my mind ....
you made excellent use of your time in getting on the road.
I'm glad you got to visit with Mark.
I'm VERY glad he had the good judgement to get himself to the hospital
I'm SO very glad that there is apparently no heart damage
I hope that his job is understanding that he needs medical time off.
I hope that he is accepting of the life changes that he will need to make
Man, what a scarey, scarey thing to have happened.

Sometimes people put off self care till tomorrow. Looking back all the symptoms were there. Well he got the wake up call and hopefully he now knows what he needs to do. Yep pretty scary time.

thanks Dee. Seems like he can turn this around and it did not go over the edge. Scary is right.

How scary for you. You are right, this will be a wake up call for him to take better care of himself. Sometimes it takes a scare that this.

Positive thoughts for DH and you. May this wake up call motivate DH to change the things he needs to change without changing him.
