On the cruise I took last year, the only port stop was Bermuda - quite a beautiful place, but it's one of the most expensive places to live in the entire world. Many millionaires live there or have vacation homes there. Anyway -- their only source of potable water is rainwater, so literally EVERY SINGLE HOUSE has a rainwater collection system. There is no such thing as "city water," and de-salinization is WAY too expensive. Fortunately, they do get a lot of rain.

Some great suggestions. Thanks! Yup it would be nice if you were closer I really need some distractions right about now as there is so little me time and all about what he needs and wants right now. I am also tired of driving back and forth to Colorado and New Mexico right now, just want to be in one place longer than a week and get settled in and do something for me. I guess he will be working this week remotely so that is better than him just sitting around.

Wow - it sounds so exciting. I think you'll really like it there. My son lives in Ft. Collins and we go see him nearly every year (except this year due to covid). We've always said that if we moved back to Colorado it would be to Ft. Collins. We really like it there. Have you visited the cute little down town area yet? The main street at Disneyland is designed after it. There's so much to do in Colorado - lots of outdoor activities. It's a college town so you're still going to get some of that political environment. David is right about the weather. If it snows one day it's usually melted in a day or two - then if feels like fresh spring weather afterwards. The big storms are infrequent. Congrats Judy! I can't wait to hear more about your adventure. I'm excited that I may get to see you when we visit my son too.

Re: Fabric challenge
Are we limited to wall hangings, bags or table runners, or or other quilted items also allowed?
Thanks.

Shelves no deeper than 12" - BRILLIANT! In my pantry, they are twice that - and floor to ceiling, adjustable height. It's easier for me to reach to tall shelves by stepstool than to reach to the back of the lower shelves, which requires getting down on my hands and knees, so I have put some pull-out baskets down there. It's nice to have all that space, but what were they thinking? .... logistics, people! ha

Some of you may remember the quilt I was working on at the retreat, well, It'sfinally finished . It became much bigger than I ever intended it to be. I think it's more of a bedspread than a quilt. It measures 96"x96" according to my quilter.
If I remember how I will post a couple of pictures here.

I can't find the picture of the label. But I hand embroidered it. And I was quite pleased with it. The quilt is a wedding gift for a young friend of mine. I'll give it to her this week.

Thanks Linda! I would love to connect with you as you are more local too!
