There are some strict rules in Colorado. We live in Boulder County and they really restrict building. The county has purchased a ton of property to block development on those parcels. I do hope that you are able to sort out your situation to an outcome that meets your needs.
I am looking forward to visiting you at your new Colorado place sometime in the near future.

Judy, push comes to shove, it would be better to have the 2 parcels & sets of bills than need to tear down a perfectly good house.

DH then found an additional statement about the ruling and it read as if our plan does not comply and we'd have to tear down the existing house.
oh dear! Let's hope that doesn't happen. Sending good vibes your way.

Judy (DJZMOM) said:I wonder if she can even tell if the surgery helped.
I guess I never reported back that my surgery was a complete success. I have no pain. The difficulty is with reactions to the medicine I was on. I'm getting better, baby steps, baby steps.

Carolyn that is answered prayer that the surgery worked!!!! God is good. I do hope that you can figure out the meds very soon and then get on with the healing, one day at a time. I hope that just the lack of the pain makes it all so much better.

That won't be exactly like dining on a cruise ship ... meals will not be fine dining despite being planned by a chef.
My DF moved into an upscale senior citizen place with advertised chef-planned meals but we learned that those meals were required to follow federal guidelines regarding sodium, fat and sugar content and portion sizes with no salt shakers on the table etc. etc. etc.
He would invite me to dine as a guest at his place once or twice a month when my DH was out of town and I learned to have some toast or a cookie before I went to his place to dull my appetite before I joined him for dinner.
He never turned down a chance to have a meal at my house.

I think I would rather have two sets of utilities rather than having to tear down the house An extra house would be a nice resource to have.
Thanks. That is our feeling too. Today over lunch we discussed our strategy and priority order for the discussion. We'll see how the initial meeting goes and get a feeling as to what their County priorities are for development in our area.

I agree. I'd be willing to pay the second set of bills if DH doesn't want to. But if they require minimums for power and water and our "occasional use" of the second house does not meet we have to run budget numbers to see where they end up. I hate this. We thought we had this answered before we closed on the property but further digging since then revealed more questions.

Thanks Yetta.
Btw... today on FB I saw an announcement that you were married today. I thought you and Don already had your special commitment ceremony etc. Did you find another guy to hitch to also? Big question... Does your dear Don know? ;-*
