Yay for you for finding your long lost sewing items!!  That is a good but a funny feeling!  When I do that I wonder was it the mischievous Judy who did that?

Under the heading of "small world", I was reading through DD's offer letter.  Got to the bottom and read the name of the HR person.  She used to work for me as a gift certificate clerk 17 years ago.

How delightful to discover that!  I'm sure that doubly confirmed her offer to DD!

Happy to hear that DJ is adjusting to Huntsville and now has the company of a puppy.  He's cute but they can limit your freedom.  Did you have pets when he was young or is this his first experience?  Merlin is a cute.  Does he know how big he will get?

We did get a puppy when DJ was beginning Kindergarten and she grew old with us until he left for his last two years of college.  He's wanted a dog ever since but being in the apartment on campus that wasn't passible.  So he was able to get one when he got settled into his new place and stable there.  Merlin has cramped his social calendar a bit but now that he is done with all of his shots DJ is able to take him out into the community more.

Merlin's last Vet visit was a couple of weeks ago and weighed in at 35lbs.  Today DJ thinks he might be closer to 40.  He think's he'll be a medium sized dog about 50-60 lbs?  Here's a picture from this week.

Here they were watching a movie!

Oh Ellen!  I'm sorry Covid got you all so you couldn't attend the family reunion.  How disappointing!  I hope you all are past it by now.

It looks great.  Terrific Bobbi!  I just found my blocks and thinking how I might set them.

maybe a kennel in your sewing room where he can see you but not mess with anything??

or at least train him to stay on his bed?

That is what DJ does with his new doggie.  It works pretty well for them.

Hiya all.  Happy hot July.  CA had a week or so of high temps at the end of June and now it seems to have moved to CO.  We came here a couple of days ago to attend a memorial for one of DH's cousins.  So we are staying on a couple of weeks to do some chores at our place in Ft Colins and to have a couple of in person mtgs with our architect and builder.  DH is getting nervous about the shaky housing market in our area in CA.  He wants us to move out so the floors and one of the bathrooms can be updated and modernized and get the house sooner than later.  But I'm in such an emotional quandary.  I do look forward to moving here but don't want to move twice (once into the small house and 40ft storage container on property and second into the new house after it's finished).  I'm trying to discuss non emotionally but inside I just want to cry out "!WHAT!"?*?*?  I don't want last Christmas to have been our last one in our CA home!  I'm not physically, emotionally or mentally ready for this!  We had a plan!

Oh well.  Thanks for reading this.  I've not shared this info with many close friends.  Things still change and timelines still change.  Our final design isn't nailed yet.  We still have one set of rooflines that conflict with each other.  We're going to meet with the architect and builder this Monday and hope to get this solved or we'll delete the Observatory ("windows in the round" upstairs room) and get on with the engineering design so we can break ground and get to building!  And come to realize we can delay the sale and move out of our CA home until at least next year.  I'm praying about all of this.  Oh, and my proper attitude too.

I never thought I would be living in an RV full time and only visit my house. We are now trying to rent the house and all our stuff is in storage. Figure that is God's plan for us right now so just trying to maintain a grateful attitude. We have been tent camping the last week in the Rockies and enjoying some amazing scenery. Heading back to the Front Range tomorrow.
