Yep hard to find anything big or small to rent here too. Phoenix has now been listed as the “worst” state in the country to live in. 
the housing prices sky rocketed, the homeless population has sky rocketed. Apartments and rental homes are raising their rates so much that people are living in their cars!  
we have one of the lowest pay scales and highest cost of living as well. We wanted to sell but literally couldn’t find a place to live!  To rent a house it’s $2,000 and up. For apartments 1 bedrooms 1,600+, 2 bedrooms over $2,000.

Lol I think I won some of those. I’ll call you when I get ready to set them. (Well after I find them)

It may not be but we need to secure the funds from the sale of our CA house to build our CO house.  We have a lot in our invested funds to get going but we need the money from one house to finish the other without having to take a loan to do so.

daughter has accepted a position in Waco, at a larger clinic where she will be working with several others OTs.  She feels she wants to work with some experienced therapists for her 1st job as a registered Occupational therapist. 

Good for her!  DD is wise, in my opinion, to want to have some experienced mentors pour into her budding career!  

I'm not surprised about your swap blocks.  I've found the range of expertise you get with with swap blocks comes with the quilter.  Some have learned that the hard way and don't do swap blocks any longer.  That's kind of what you get when you agree to exchange swap blocks.  I've participated to encourage newbies and to make the bonds of quilting friends stronger.  Sometimes I don't set right away and let them sit awhile and then the perfect project or person will come along they work with or I'll make them work.  It often gives me a chance to challenge my skills.  Good luck to you!!  I know you will make them look great!!

I'm so glad you had such a great time at your local retreat.  We can never have too many quilty friends!  But there is something to be said for true, long friendships with those who have laughed together, mourned together, encouraged together and learned from each other.  What a rich bunch we are with each other and those that have crossed our paths and made it richer.

Merlin is such a cutie.  Looks like he is sitting there like a good boy.  He will be lots of company for DJ.

Thanks.  I'll tell DJ you think so.  He's finally thinks they've broken a record into double digit days for Merlin not having an accident in the house!  We have tickets to go see them in September!!  I'm excited and anxious a bit with all we have going on with our CA house getting ready to sell and CO one nearly ready to build.  But it will be fun finally get to have some snuggles with Merlin.

I've got to figure out a way to go to the retreat this year.  I was telling them about you guys, talking about how long we had been doing it, how much we have shared over the years.
