Thanks Ami. It did take me a while to get my head around the cutting, sewing, re-cutting, re-sewing and then cutting again and then sewing it together to make sub-units. The instructions threw me a bit but did finally get the hang of it. Quite a few mistakes in there, but as it is so busy, it’s not really noticeable.

Thanks Judy. I now have my son’s girlfriend giving it a try. Her colour scheme is pinks, greys and a spot of cream. Should look good when done.

I'm glad you are enjoying both of your hobbies so much. It's too bad all those nasty household chores get in the way. Is your bum arm still causing as much trouble or is it getting a bit better?

I love just red and white quilts and have seen such pretty ones on Pintrest. Since I have a healthy sized tub of reds and plenty of white or white with a bit of red, I have been busy whittling down the reds and trying new patterns. Somehow I have accumulated a lot of red--I could be at this for a while.

Mishii said:I'm going with the story that my pineapples fell off the truck....slightly flattened, a little bruised, some badly mangled, but still fun.
We are definitely need to see a pic of that one!!

It's been seven months now since the surgery on my broken left arm so I'm resigned to the fact that the arm is never going to be "normal" again. It is no longer painful, it's just swollen, achey and it does not work right, something DH says I have to get used to.
At this point this right-handed person is grateful that it wasn't my right arm that was injured.

It's super easy if you do it wrong. Give it a shot!

Funny story (and by funny I mean annoying as hell).
I am out of blue fabric. I need 30 (THIRTY) 1.5 x 5.5" strips to finish the last border. That is not much. I have several yards of two of the blues I have used. Did I plan ahead? Of course I didn't. 3 of the borders are completed. Pretty sure making the last scrappy border out of only two fabrics will look odd even for the Squished Pineapple. Bless my heart.
Wish me luck.....I am quite wasteful so I'm hoping I can find enough in the trash.
