Oh my youngest DGS would love to see this picture. I made a screen print of it. Because when we get out of this hospital I will have LOST this thread, lol.

Didn't Elvis make a movie called "Blue Hawaii"??
Pineapples come from Hawaii.
So this could be Elvis's Squished Blue Pineapple.

I really like it and don't see it as squished or quirky at all. Just unique and in my very favorite color, too!

Thanks all! I certainly won't be doing another, not even the right way.
We go home to visit tomorrow, I was hoping to finish a wall hanging for my mom. I have done something horrendous to my tension and haven't been able to figure it out. My stitches are really really tiny. Like really tiny. Don't think I will finish tonight.

There's all those blue pieces! Why do you say "squished"? Lots of pieces in that one.

Cathy (cacnurse1) said:Why do you say "squished"?
Because it isn't right. I had to make some things super wonky to get it square and instead of figuring out how to do it right, I just kept going. Around block 10 or so, I did figure it out. Then I didn't remember how big my strips were and I think along the way somewhere I changed the size a bit. Due to that, my blocks were too big so I had to trim them up. However, they weren't a full strip too big so many of the edges have partial strips. Many, but not all. Therefore....squished pineapples!

I didn't see that in your picture. Maybe I would if I saw the quilt up close. I think it looks fine and obviously there was a lot of work involved.

Mr Pirate & I are on a road trip (DD#3 is holding down the fort). I've prepped 3 of my Art Deco blocks to work on. One of them was started previously and I was able to finish it just a few minutes ago.
Oops .. and I see now that the photo is sideways. Ah well. Manipulating it on my cell phone is beyond my patience limit!
Do pardon the sunshine and shadows on the photo... the sun is coming in through my passenger window and can't be avoided.
