I'm so glad you are joining this fun group!  I have learned so much in the years I have been on here.  I am very impressed by your lovely work.  Are you sure you are a beginner?  Your quilting is wonderful.

now that my tool carrier is done, I'm back working on DD's red and white quilt.  I decided on the corner stones and 4 are done, need to applique 8 more but they go pretty quickly.  All the sashing is done and I have a piece of fabric left 4" by width of fabric.  And that is all.  geesh, talk about cutting it close!  Looks like I will be using red binding and fortunately I do have about a yard of one piece left so I should be ok on that.

Love both projects you shared!  Fabulous workmanship; the quilt is definitely in "my" colors.

It will be an early Christmas gift as they are a challenge to find gifts for.  They are and will be the only grandkids on their mothers side in a very close knit family so the get a lot of gifts.

If you want a good tutorial on making pillow cases check out the one on Pirates blog.

yeaterday I did the cutting and beginnings on a scrap quilt for. Class.  I’m eager to sew on this later this week.

The cornerstones look great with the sashing.  It is a fantastic quilt.

What kind of scrap quilt?  I just love scrappy quilts.

My current projects come from left field.  I'm finishing up some crazy quilted ATCs (artist trading cards) for a swap in the new year and inclusion in a crazy quilting magazine.  Since the editor/owner of the magazine wants to do a special ATC issue, I'm honor bound not to share pictures of those ahead of time.

I'm toying with an idea for my sister's annual cancer fund raiser.  Making blocks with the awareness ribbons featured.  That would include buying LOTS of different Kona solid colors, but I'm not averse to that idea at all.  <G>

I have two white-on-white crazy quilt round robin blocks to do my part on, but those don't have to move/be mailed again until after the first of the year.  Happily, I already know what embroidery stitches/motifs I'll be using for them.

I have some orphan blocks on the design wall, and I purchased a new sewing machine last week.  A Necchi QS60.  Or maybe that's a 60QS; it's all still so new to me!  My most recent sewing machine purchase had been in the 1980s (I don't think needle up/needle down had been invented yet).  Once the ATCs are finished, I'll be setting up the new machine and practicing sewing with it using the orphan blocks for practice.

I keep a "tub" of handwork projects available for evening TV time.  Those are various hand quilting, counted cross stitch, and needlepoint projects.  I just work through the rotation and have made progress through the year.  Nothing gets done very fast, but everything gets worked on, which is better progress than having them stored in a box in a closet.

TMI?  Well, you asked!
