Here is a photo of the baby quilt I made at the beginning of the year for the new grandson of long-time friends. All the fabric came from my stash!

I answer all calls. Some of it is I have to as I use my cell phone as my work phone. Some of it is for enjoyment. I even answer the AT&T Suspected Spammer calls. I say hello so if it is a computer generated spam, it will start the call. Then I set my phone down. It usually only takes them 30-45 seconds to hang up, but maybe I made them miss making one other spam call.
When it is a real person calling about my back taxes or overdue student loans, I prefer to start out with OMG! THAT SOUNDS SERIOUS! WHAT DO I DO?? Then I set the phone down and carry on about my business.
It's the little things in life.

My grandson loves those calls! He will order hamburgers, French fries, etc. or talk about his day, make up crazy things. His Dad taught him well, lol.

My DH's uncle used to enjoy carrying on with those callers, pretending he knew the person. "You say you are Jennifer? Jennifer, how are you? How's your uncle? Is he still in the hospital after that horrible wreck ? " Uncle Bill would go on and on and on and eventually the caller who was trying to sell him new windows or whatever would hang up in disgust.

Thanks Ami. The new parents were thrilled with it and hopefully the little boy will love it as he grows.

LOLOLOL! that's awesome.
I did that one time when I did answer. It turned out it was my adult grandson who was in jail and needed bail money. I wondered which of my 30-year old girls had an adult son and was soooooooo devastated when I just couldn't help him. Tough love, ya know?

I haven't received the grandson call yet, but I am looking forward to it. I figure I can keep him on the phone for at least 10 minutes. That is my goal anyway. We'll see how it goes.
ETA: I think his name shall be Charlie. Or Edgar. Haven't decided yet.

How about William? "Now, William, I have told you and told you over and over again .... " LOL
