I like your flower. Mine die for lack of water or the dog eats the blossoms. I'm not much of a gardener. I'll be looking for more of your creations.
Our summer heat has arrived. It was 97 here today so I stayed in my sewing room and sewed the binding on the front of the quilt. It's a long way around and slow going because of the curves. I usually machine stitch the front and back, but I'll hand stitch this one because it's so special.

I really admire you guys who can do fiber art stuff. It's cool! :) Good job!

Both reverse applique I have done and enjoyed were with batik. Regular quilting cotton would not be as much fun

Thus speaks the Voice of Experience.
Where were you when I was picking out my base fabric? Never mind that you had no idea I was going to do this project. You should have offered your suggestion anyway. :-)

Reverse applique is very portable. You just need a different pattern to get your creative juices going. I am on my 2nd pattern from Eye of the beholder patterns. I like the two color concept, very easy prep, just outline the stitching lines.
