Pepper Cory calls her shot cottons "Peppered Cottons." The warp and weft are two different colors, so the color you see changes as the fabric moves.
Here's a very good video describing them.

Thanks, Dee. I wash all my fabrics with color catchers before I use it so I don't have to worry about colors running.

Now that was interesting! I learned new things today! How come I didn’t know about shot cottons?
Those could be interesting to work with.

Did you see all of those other YouTube videos with Pepper Cory about the "Peppered Cottons"? It looks like StudioeFabrics has just recently put them on YouTube. I just love Pepper Cory, and she's a wonderful teacher. There are other videos of her out there at Quilt Market, etc.
I bet the Peppered Cottons are wonderful to work with too -- they must have a great "hand."
