LOVE the way you have offset the bears so they are not all in the same place in every block. That really provides a "life" and movement to the quilt. Nicely done!

I really did try to center the bears though. Some blocks have two bears so they're not really centered. That kinda bothered me a bit when I was cutting out the blocks as my brain doesn't like it when things are "off". But it is what it is and now that it's done I kinda like it.

I am having fun playing in my novelty stash. I just finished this top for a friend of my husband.
I'm going to do another version with only black & white novelty fabrics in the stripes and TOT colors in the narrow borders between the zigzags. I realized I have 2 very full baskets with only white or black fabrics, but I rarely get to use them because I"m always doing colors. So I've got a couple of quilts planned where the novelties will only be black or white (backgrounds). The one I"m working on now uses 50 black & 49 white fabrics - I did not need to use all the blacks in my stash - only used about half. Assuming that basket is typical that means each holds approx 100 and I have 6 baskets of novelties. Yikes - definitely SABLE.
And I'm buying some specific fabrics for the latest one to be personal to the mom & dad. They love to travel and go to Disney every year - I found this fabric at Joann's -how perfect is this!

That Disney fabric IS perfect. I'm sailing on the Disney Magic again in October - wish I had time to make a tote with that fabric to take with me! Maybe over Labor Day weekend.

I think your novelty quilts are all awesome. Of course to do these I Spy quilts you have to be a very organized person. I think it is so fun to be able to add a personal touch to a quilt. Glad you are back to enjoying the novelties.

well it's kind of thin - you'd have to back it with some canvas or something. But it is cute fabric. It's fund to do a quilt for someone I know personally and know their interests.

thanks Judy & others. Between the novelties and my new cutting board I've spent a happy few hours in my sewing room. Darn work takes too much time!
