It got First place at the quilt guild, then went to the county fair

where it got: 1st Place, and Best of Show as well as fair theme ribbon.  I named it, “The Garden Wall”. In remembrance of my Mom’s and Gram’s sweet pea trellises that we’re against a wall of the house.  I was so thrilled about this one.

I’ve been so busy the past few months.  I was in charge of our Guild Retreat this year.  It had been scheduled for April but circumstances arose and we postponed it until August.  Well it was a success.  The ladies had a great time and together we got a quilt top together.  Now I just need to sandwich and quilt it.  It will be given to the guild for our quilt auction in Sept. 2020.

How wonderful that a quilt that has so much sentimental meaning to you now has so much "glory" awarded to it because of your excellent quilt making skills and artistic eye.  I am sure that your Mom and your Gram are delighted that they were the inspiration for this lovely work of art.
