I love the look of both of your quilts. Just keep plugging away at those scraps.
AND if you really don't think you'll use something.. pass it on to another quilter in your area.. Or maybe a senior center, nursing home, 4-H club etc.

I have been working on the vine and leaves around my tree of life quilt. If you want to see it: https://enchantingquilts.blogspot.com

We went RV camping last weekend for the first time since March. Man, it was nice! I took along my Hollow Cube project but didn't do a whole lot of stitching since we weren't sitting around in camp. :-)
While we were out and about, Mr. Pirate suggested that I look for a quilt store in the area. Bless his heart, somehow even after a couple of *years* of working steadily on our family's heritage scrapbooks (and me rushing into his office yelling, "guess what I found out about Person X!!!"), he still thinks that I am continually quilting. Right now, I'd actually prefer to find a scrapbooking store, but those are rarer than hen's teeth*. However, it was very sweet of him to think of a place I'd like to go and, by golly, there WAS a quilting store in town! So, I wandered around and ended up buying 2 charm packs (oh and another applique pattern for California quails, but I'm not gonna talk about that) If there were 2 squares of the same fabric, I could use the pair for my Hollow Cubes. Otherwise, I can get (4) 1" hexies out of 1 charm square for a different hexie project that is on-going.
* speaking hen's teeth: My youngest, bizarre daughter passed along this scientific tidbit of trivia to me: all birds have genes for teeth. It's just not turned on. Scientist have turned the gene on and the chickens grew teeth. source: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/mutant-chicken-grows-alli/
Sometimes I really wonder about them. My daughters, not chickens.

Thanks Jo, I will say that quilt is keeping me outta trouble right now. I have decided that it is a good thing to focus on this Summer and I might actually get it done in a reasonably amount of time and not another forever project.

I hear a not-so-faint mockery of Forever Projects™

OMG, I’m not even gonna read that link Shelley! But who knew?
muttering, chuckling, hens, teeth, genes....lol!
but, how wonderful that hubby continues to keep you quilting! Glad you got to go camping! I know we 5 girls sure enjoyed our drive north thru the countryside and time away from the boys!
i didn’t like the fire that closed the road AFTER we got home!

Suze (casuzenn) said:you could alternate the blocks with a different block if you want a bigger quilt...
I think I'm going to make a bed runner for the bottom of the bed during the summer. That should be enough blocks. I'll find something to sash them with, I think.

Haven't yet seen a batik I didn't like.

Mishii said:I really have to start making the binding with the top as I tend to use the leftover fabric in something else so then I don't have any of the fabric left for binding. Poor planning on my part.
I need to do this, too. Guess I better go do that for the "Scooch Over" quilt today before I forget.
