Isn't it amazing how your skills have improved in twenty years?  wink

Wish I still had my very first crib quilt I ever made (in 1993) but I donated it during a "Quilts for Kosovo" drive a long time ago. It is long gone and far, far away. It wasn't badly made but it was done in pastel fabrics and as those of you who know me well, pastel is not my thing.

When's her birthday?

When's her retirement party?

When's her anniversary of surviving something?

When's her youngest kid moving out?

Think of something she's going to be celebrating someday fairly soon ..... tada

That came out great.  I know you were REALLY tired of doing T-shirt quilts, so thanks for doing that one for him.  I knew he would love it.  He can always donate $$$ to a good cause, but I'm glad he chose to keep it.  He obviously kept all those shirts for many years because they meant something to him.

Good story!

Quite a difference between the before and after.

Oh wow Dee that’s tiny! As slow as I am, that would be a forever project for me! It’s cute.

I think it needs "something".  I'm going to try some black and white prints mixed in.  everything is medium.

Yup, I am crazy.

I agree as far as this miniature goes.  I know you will post pctures.

I recently redid this quilt

I agree, it does look better but now you don't have that piece to confirm how much you have improved.  You just changed history.relaxed

changed history?  maybe.  I thought about just  making a new one, but somehow that wasn't appealing.  I liked these fabrics and now I enjoy looking at the quilt.

the only quilting projects I'm doing right now continue to be my two EPP projects, done whilst I am watching TV, typically in the evening.

One project is the 4-unit diamond shape, which will result in all of them being smooshed together into one big top.  I have no rhyme nor reason for choosing the fabrics.  Early on, I had culled my scraps, picking out the pieces that I could get 4 squares from, so those colors and patterns are rather eclectic.  Then, as we traveled and Mr. Pirate was sweet enough to stop at every quilting store he could find (even though he hadn't noticed that I wasn't actually SEWING so much any more but doing my heritage scrapbooking), I felt obliged to make a small purchase in the store.  That purchase was usually a charm square pack, which means those hexies are very nicely coordinated.  Once I get around to assembling the diamond shapes, I'll need to figure out if there's going to be a color scheme .. and if so, do I need to fill in any specific colors.  But, I can defer that decision for quite a while.

The other EPP project is my Hollow Cubes.  In anticipation of being away on vacation for a week, I have prepped a great big bunch of those hexie units.  I expect to have a substantial number of Hollow Cubes completed when we return.

But, no machine sewing or quilting at present.   I do very much enjoy seeing what the rest of you have been doing!
