gnats?
hum...we have seen some wee flying beasties...could be possible...though..I haven't noticed them in my office and that is where I have gotten most of my bites...

I hope you get the bug issue figured out. Not fun getting bit by tiny critters. Just keep going on your project, progress is all good.

Thanks...so far, no more new ones...
I am in awe of your quilting...the sneak peaks you are showing on IG are gorgeous!!

You are so right. Those chiggers are so miserable. I've had them twice and used to paint them with clear nail polish. I got mine when sitting on the ground so you have an idea of where I was bitten. It is the most awful itching you can imagine.

Thanks Suze, I am glad you like those. I have had a challenge to come up with unique fill sections for each different section. Spiky stuff in the orange and flowing stuff in the blue.
I was gonna take a hike this morning in an open space that is really pretty and was gonna do a photoshoot if two quilts but is is way too smokey today. The full sun looks like a fuzzy ball. Guess I will have to maybe do the photoshoot in New Mexico.
Guess I will go up to the shop and load a customer quilt this morning instead.

It's ok, Suze. I've done nothing in a couple months, while prepping for exam. So you've already done more than me! :P

I just thought I’d post here. Yesterday I was binding a charity quilt. When done,I decided to dig in my boxes of squares. I still had a lot of 3” squares. So I made a decision....
the explosion in Beirut damaged 3 of 4 containers sitting in port waiting for dispersing by one of the charity organizations that I contribute to. They lost 22,000 quilts, plus school and health kits. It makes me so sad to think about the 22.000 quilts that are now needed even more desperately than before!
they want quilts that are at least 60 x 80. The scrap mystery quilt I finished a week or so ago was 60” square. So! I got put my 3” squares and made more 4 patches! My mystery quilt is now 60 x 80 and ready to finish for LWR! Lol, still have more 3” squares.....

22,000 quilts lost?! Holy cow, that's a lot of quilts! All that charity work lost, so sad.

Yes it is heartbreaking to think of the lost quilts! And I sure feel for that devastated people over there.
Isn’t it hard to just comprehend 22,000 quilts? Just gone in a moment....

22,000, that is alot. So terrible what was destroyed, And much of their grain stores were destroyed also. Really sad.
