Phew! you got a lot done! I did a bit of stitching, but trying to do some deep cleaning since the whole family will be here for Thanksgiving dinner. Why is it when you have company coming that you notice dust and dirty places that you never really notice on other times?

Aren't you glad you started this thread? Look how active we have become! Thank you!

The reason I was able to get so much done is because I'm stuck inside with a head cold. We have been invited to friend's for Thanksgiving but won't be able to go now. I certainly don't want to share my germs with anyone. Fortunately last week I bought a boneless, cooked turkey breast at Costco because we like to have turkey leftovers. So at least we can have turkey Thursday.

Yes, I'm very glad I started this thread! It's so much fun to hear about all the projects being worked on. I hope everyone will continue to post frequently.

6 large blocks. The center section is all sewn together now, I just need to applique the corner stones for the outside edges, then sew them and the outside sashing to the center - getting close!. I won't be able to use my sewing machine much this weekend as my sewing room is also the guest room. So I will have some time while visiting to do hand work. The my cousin who is coming is also a sewer and we sit and visit and sew. Maybe I'll be posting an updated picture in few days.

my son once asked me who was coming to visit as I was vacuuming. I was very offended, I don't only vacuum before company, I do it other times too!

I really love those! I even brought them to the big get-togethers we used to have at my Sis's..so much easier than actually COOKING a full turkey and DH and I really only like the breast meat anyway!
One is residing in my fridge for Turkey Day...probably will be very subdued this year..nobody has a place big enough to host the large (and getting larger) crowd anymore..

Yes! Those roasts are tender and delicious and soooo much easier than cooking a whole turkey. The only drawback is that there's no carcass for soup.

Sorry to hear that your cold will interfere with your Thanksgiving celebration. Glad you can have turkey anyway. We will be at our son's. They always do Thanksgiving and I do Christmas. It will be smaller this year because my DMIL can't come out of her assisted living. She is in hospice care. Also my DSIL has moved back to Michigan.
