Oh, look at me! I'm loading a 104" x 116" top!  Woo hoo!

And Mishii?  I'm using that gray dot grunge fabric for the backing!

This is using one of the bigger packaged batting that I have: 120" x 120".  I did need to trim the width of the batting to fit my machine.

Onwards, to finish the loading!

Well dang!  the picture didn't come through!

Lemme try again.

This was one of my first hand-pieced hexie projects.  I used HUGE hexagons .. these measure 2" along a side.  The flower units measure 11" from side to side.  I remember wanting to cover a lot of real estate .. and these do!

I started this top in 2013.  I might have finished in 2018, but I'm not real sure about that.

*actually*, I've already figured out what I'm gonna do on the hexies.   You know what Orange Peel/Continuous Curves look like?

This ....
Orange Peel E2E | Marci Gore | Digitized Quilting Designs

Well, I've figured out a path through the entire mess of hexies that features ONE start and ONE stop.  I begin at an upper corner and end at a lower corner and everything in between is done.  Two tails to bury!  Bingo!  :-)

But the borders?   Ummmmmm.... other than SITD around the appliques, I haven't quite figured that one out yet.   Since 2013, I've saved some ideas; I need to review them to see if I still like the ideas and if any are viable.

In any case, the quilting is gonna take a LONG time.
