Well dang!  the picture didn't come through!

Lemme try again.

This was one of my first hand-pieced hexie projects.  I used HUGE hexagons .. these measure 2" along a side.  The flower units measure 11" from side to side.  I remember wanting to cover a lot of real estate .. and these do!

I started this top in 2013.  I might have finished in 2018, but I'm not real sure about that.

*actually*, I've already figured out what I'm gonna do on the hexies.   You know what Orange Peel/Continuous Curves look like?

This ....

Well, I've figured out a path through the entire mess of hexies that features ONE start and ONE stop.  I begin at an upper corner and end at a lower corner and everything in between is done.  Two tails to bury!  Bingo!  :-)

But the borders?   Ummmmmm.... other than SITD around the appliques, I haven't quite figured that one out yet.   Since 2013, I've saved some ideas; I need to review them to see if I still like the ideas and if any are viable.

In any case, the quilting is gonna take a LONG time.

I gotta say: loading a top straight and even is a thing of beauty.
