What Are You Working On Now?   General Discussion

Started 11/19/17 by MarciainMD; 470263 views.

Something that I started doing some years ago to fill a space is to use a variety of fill designs. Basically I choose several designs and start one and then switch to something else. I try not to make the areas too regular or a particular shape. This way if you love the look of pebbles but hate quilting them you can do a few or a substantial group and then switch to doing peacock meander, or clamshells or whatever.

Love your beadboard!

That's an excellent suggestion!  I do believe that I've seen samples of this without realizing what I was looking at.

Well that is odd. I colud see it earlier on my computer, but now on my tablet I cannot.

Lynne .. very odd.  I went back to your original post and the photo is gone.  What I see now is a gray circle with a horizontal white bar ... the object is missing?

It *was* there before when I first replied.

I absolutely love your charity quilts!!  I really like string quilts and yours are so bold and bright.  No doubt they will be loved by some lucky recipient.  You should be proud of your work.  Donating quilts to charity is a win/win thing.  We get to satisfy our need to create and others benefit from that.  Good job!

OK-- I've got to remember that the copy and paste doesn't work.  Will go back to the "save as and slide."  I wonder why some can see it and other can't?  Hope this works.

Yes, that method worked.

Good looking quilt.

Quilts seem to fly out of your sewing room, Lynne!

Thanks!  I have a healthy pile of tops that I'm finally getting around to quilting.

Lynne, Thank you for your help locating the information on posting pictures. This time I wrote out the instructions. Can't trust the memory when it comes to computers.

I agree that charity quilts are win/win. I love thinking of the person who receives the one I'm making. I sew prayers into them as I stitch along.

Just once I'd love to see the face of the woman somewhere around the world as she gets my quilt.

Enjoy your day,

NanaSuz
