But you don't know how many months these have been "aging" before I got to them.  I like that phrase--Eternity projects.  I have a few of those.

Didn't want to call my projects "Forever" projects because they don't require intricate piecing or skilled applique work like Pirate's lovely quilts.

I am working on quilts that are tedious, boring and monotonous straight stitching and they are taking several eternities to get through the piles of strips (reds and neutrals) and squares (sixteen patches) which are moving along so slllloooowwwllllyyyy.

I need six more blocks for the "Barber Pole" quilt so the end is in sight.

My plan is to ship the finished reds and neutrals quilt off to my best friend from college days (we graduated from Kent State in 1963). She has been a faithful correspondent for decades through snail mail and email even though she lives in Sacramento. We  have not actually seen each other in person since graduation day but we have kept up our gabby friendship through marriages, motherhood and all that. She's a watercolor artist and claims that her only sewing skill was making Halloween costumes for her son back in the day, so she does own a sewing machine but uses it only for clothing repairs. She will appreciate the labor required to sew the zillion strips of fabric in the quilt. LOL

Herb, I’m a moderator here and am not sure what you’re trying to do but you made several posts in a row that appear to be blank. I deleted the others.

oooo, I just was wondering around her "store".  12 Christmas tress & 12 snowflakes!  They are so pretty.  I'm showing great restraint.  I'm going to wait until I embroider some of the applique blocks that are done (I have 5 complete now).  And see how it goes, if I enjoy it or not.  If I do, I'm going to treat myself with one of those collections.  Her instructions appear very complete and I like supporting an artist as long as it doesn't cost an arm & a leg.  grinning
