If you prewashed the fabric then you might need to starch the bejabbers out of it to make it user friendly again. I know that this is a lot of work but it might make you happier when you go to run those squares under the needle.
Just an idea.
(I know I'm kinda wishing the small 2.5 inch squares I am working with right now were stiffer goods but I'm stuck because this was a kit and the quality of the fabric varies a bit from one square to the next. I'm just stitching very very carefully.)

OK, I might have overdone the kit thing just a bit
I was flipping through a folder 2 days ago on my bookcase and discovered several ideas I had drawn in EQ and printed off a couple of months ago. I think they were all from my 2 new Kim Brackett books but I got focused on the Christmas applique about that time and forgot about them. Hmmm, something to do while waiting for the retreat on Monday.... So now I have 6 I spy kits (plus a scrap house kit by MSQC). I think I'm good for things to sew for a while.
All but 1 of them have snowball corners, so I'm going to have TONS of tiny triangles left over.

I've done this on some. This, I ripped and ironed to make sure it was straight of grain. I'm finding it's just not so good of fabric. Maybe I'll use it as foundation...LOL!!!

I’m working on a red and white pineapple quilt. I always over press everything because I like that part. I also mist everything while pressing because I like that part too. I have one ugly red fabric that I almost didn’t use…. Because it’s ugly. I’ve had it forever. Of course it is bleeding everywhere. Ugh
This isn’t a special quilt. Just doing it to do it. Decided I’ll finish getting the top together and then try the dawn in the bathtub thing to take care of the bleeding. No idea where this fabric came from, but I’m happy I don’t have any more of it.

Congratulations on using all if the ugly red fabric! Follow the dawn treatment to the letter......I have saved more than one quilt with it.
Pineapple design is not a quick easy pattern. I would love to see a photo.

I’m going to use majestic mountain blocks for the border. I actually ran out of red!
