Thanks.  Yes, that's the plan.  I have a quilting hanging over the sofa in the den, thinking I'll put it there during the holidays.

It was a great weekend!  I came home with the car packed to the gills!  Good thing I didn't bring the truck!!

You should give PITA more credit, he does a great job, and will pick out eyelashes when we don't check our quilting closely enough!!  It was that bobbin, I am surewink/ He is doing a great job on the diamonds!!

Thanks for all the scraps!! I have to unpack the car today!unamused

wow, I'm tired just reading about your adventures.  Amazing how Sharon's husband has taken to quilting.  Mine periodically says something about learning to use my sewing machine, but then never follows thru.

Finished the quilting last night, one of the new designs learned recently.  Now to sew on the binding.  I am NOT going to wash it until after the holidays  (If I can control myself).  I have always prewashed my fabric but many of these fabrics are VERY old, from my earliest days quilting and there's a good chance they will bleed - I'm eyeing the two batiks specifically.  I want to have this up for the holidays, not soaking in the bathtub all weekend.

Since you intend to use this as a wall hanging...DON"T WASH it...ever... vacuum if it gets dusty...but I bet not even that will happen if you only put it up during the Christmas season.

Dee I love that design. Is there a place I can find how to do that? I have a Baptist fan set on groovy boards but I really like that one.

all done & hung.  The rod is a bit low but not worth moving it.  Good point about the washing.  I used Warm & White, so it won't really crinkle too much anyway.

Here is a link to a video - free on youtube.

And a detailed picture from the class.

She also has a freehand baptist fan that I've done that I like also - picture from class - I don't see a video on this one but I'm sure you can figure it out.  It is more freeform, doesn't follow rows.
