They are all beautiful. Some little child will love it. Did you have time to visit?

Very impressive! You are really making a lot of these! My favorite is the mountain majesty.

thanks Suze. the 2nd & 3rd ones were the same blocks. it is one of those patterns that you make two blocks, cut them diagonal and sew together, giving two identical blocks. So rather than have duplicates in one quilt, I made enough blocks for 2 quilts, but changed the layout. I liked that middle one best also, but the rest of the room voted for the zigzag one.

thanks. I tend to get "on a roll". I started cutting and the next thing I knew I had 10 kits. I still have 4 more ready to sew, but I need to shift to other projects. I have to get my 40 hours of continuing education before the end of August - GOT to get going on that. Plus I've been asked to quilt the donation quilt for the bee I joined last fall but haven't been able to attend due to work. The person in charge of the bee usually quilts them, but she's been in the hospital with CDif (or however it's spelled). She's home now but after 20 days she's very behind on her business, so I agreed to quilt it. Since I wasn't able to contribute any time to making the quilt, I figure it gets me "even". It's a 30's style, nicely done. The guild has a show every other year, then a raffle on the others. So what the bee has traditionally done is put a quilt in the show, then donate it for the raffle the following year. This one is large (90" square) and I'm sure it will be popular.

House/Dog sitting so only brought easy sew projects. My 3.5" HST. Decided to make one block from that HST chart with the darn things. AND forgot my iron so I had to revert back to my childhood helping grandma iron.. Cast Iron on the Potbellied Stove. Thankfully today I didn't have to make a fire, as gas and a skillet worked just fine. LOL Necessity is the mother of invention. If there's a will, there's a way. Worked fine.. but SO happy electricity is now popular.

oh that is so interesting...I didn't catch that 2 and 3 were the same block.
