My recent quilting binge. The local quilt guild asked for donations of baby quilts to sell in the country store at the quilt show in September. So I rolled a bolt of fleece on my LA and started quilting. I finished up 8 tops but I'm only giving them 4. Saving my favorites for future baby/toddler gifts.

I was just looking at boxes of squares I had cut from scraps when the scrap bin was overflowing. I need to get them out of my stash. A couple good ideas from you may just get me going. I did finish a panel top for donation and have a strip quilt ready for binding, and another that got put up while I decided how to quilt it. They are all for charity. I hope to finish them all this weekend. Then I will get some pictures and post them. Makes me feel good to get them done and gone!

I completely agree! :-)

Those are all just dazzling, Dee.
You seem to shrug off how much work you have put into your charity quilting but all of us can see the time and thought you put into your generous gifts.

Thanks for posting your blog--I was just thinking abut it the other day when you had shared some of your recent photos. I sure enjoy the eye candy and saw several of your patterns that I had gotten inspiration from!

thank you Judy. As I've said before, I'm going to keep making quilts regardless because I enjoy the process. Once they are done, it's just to "rehome" them - kind of like finding a loving home for a bunch of kittens. Being able to give them to someone who will get joy from my quilts is a bonus.
And as it turns out, they gray & black quilt that I was playing around with several weeks ago is going to be a wedding present. The eldest daughter of my husband's best friend just got married. Both wife & husband have good jobs, don't really need any more dishes or silverware and have never met us in person regardless. So I decided to finish that neutral quilt for them - neutral is apparently all the thing now. Her mom said they have a black sofa so that will work perfectly. So I'm off to Gibson's as I don't have much light gray left from my gray sofa quilt. Love having a project

glad you enjoyed it. I mostly do it like a journal to keep track of my pictures & processes. But every now and then I feel like I'm talking to myself (I am talking to myself), nice when someone else happens across it and comments. And you know there are many of those quilts that I got the idea from You. We've done a lot of cross pollination of ideas over the years!
