nice.  I especially like how the bead board goes through the narrow blue inner border.

It's a beautiful quilt.  Glad you were able to gift it in person, experiencing the true reaction of those receiving it.

Jo

Thanj you. I had a hard time trying to figure out a nice border and am happy with my choices. The breadboard always works with any kind of garland shape.

Thank you! It was a wedding quilt for a young cousin and they have been married for over a year so I am glad to have this done and gifted at last. They will be the lucky couple that gets a double wedding ring quilt.......if I do other wedding quilts they will be easier patterns!

They both seemed very excited over it.

That's just gorgeous, Ami.   Great setting for the photo. :-)

Mark was more than annoyed when i pointed out that fence and said that would be a great photo. He pulled over a bit further and I was insistent that it needed to be that fence. He turned around and went back and found a place to pull over.

We have driven that road many times and every time we go by that spot I think it would make a great photo with a quilt. Well with the color of the aspen trees and since we had the quilt in the car it all worked out. As soon as I got back in the car it rained the rest of the way to Colorado Springs. I was thinking other photos but that was it.

I am so glad it is finally gifted.

I see a suggest for a wedding gift, rather than make a big bed size quilt to make two lap size quilts, especially if you don't know the couples favorite colors.

My niece from Germany was here for a visit. Last Sunday, she was telling me about a baby quilt she had made and how hard the "border" corners were to do.  On my drive home I realized that she had most likely been talking about the binding.  She speaks good English just sometimes doesn't know the correct word to use.  So this past Sunday, I had the chance to visit with her again, she was talking about binding.  I showed her how to do it and made a sample she could take home with her.  She told me she had watched a video, she had four pieces instead of one long piece of binding, she had cut the binding off at the 45 degree angle at the corner where you stop stitching and than could not figure out how the corners went together.  The corners where missing but she finished it and gifted it.

Jo

yikes.  feel bad for her confusion, I could see how it would be hard to follow on some videos.  GLad you were able to explain it to her.
