I was thinking of just a narrow strip of color between two black. Thanks for the idea of carrying the color placement down from the center. That would add to the interest. But I will need to wait until the center is finished. No matter. I decided to use a couple of orphan blocks to make a Christmas table topper for my sewing room. Also some small ornaments for my sewing tree in there.

A Bullet Journal is like a custom planner, with art and decor as desired. I am getting into the painting and making "fine" art stuff a bit, doing tutorials so I can learn to do better. I'm not the greatest, but I really enjoy the process and get so excited when things come out the way they are in my head. :D If you're on instagram, I'm Melkharris there. :)

I do the same thing from Marshall’s. They had 108” bolts on sale so I was able to get white. Had to go with 45” black.

Not on Instagram. Not sure I understand. It's a calendar with art in it?

I like Marshall's prices. And since we all know what we use the most, it only makes sense to buy bolts. And 108" is good for piecing too. I buy from them all the time. They ship pretty darn fast too.

Sort of! Hopefully this will let me add a few pix for illustration. It's like a calendar/planner, but creative. Not everyone does so much art but I love that part!!

Just completed these two smaller scrap quilts and emptied a bin by doing so. There are a couple of pieces of fabric that I will use on the backing of one of these. Almost Identical. 48 x 58 and 53 x 53
There is no specific pattern for this.. Just 4-Patch blocks with wonky sides. I use the Jodi Barrow's Square in a Square method for the sides.. Which are cut after sewing to the 4-patch using her ruler on the 60 degree angle. But you can use any ruler that has a 60 degree line on it. make a couple of scrap ones and practice with the angle part. Here's Jodi's video on this angle.

Good to get one UFO Bin emptied and at least in flimsy form. I'll use these for practicing FMQ or Stencil quilting.
