Pretty.  That's a lot of hexies.

I made a quilt with potato chip blocks.  Then I decided to make another quilt and keep going around until the block was quilt size.  Hoped to make a dent in my scraps but no such luck.

I guess my first picture got lost, so here is the picture of the last kit I bought to the 2021 retreat. Once I got going this did not take too long. I am going to a retreat with a local guild I just joined in October and am gonna prep another one of these for that in more scrappy colors. The thing is the steps do not take much time and you can set these blocks in so many ways. This is my 4th version of these mountain majesty blocks. I used Bonnie Hunters instructions from her free website.

Oh I like this. Believe it or not, I have never made one. I will have to see if I can find some solid colors. Most of my stash is prints. I’ve made myself use only my stash unless I need a complimenting fabric. Can’t imagine using prints, can you? Do you have pictures on your blog?

I can see using prints for that pattern -- but it would kind of depend on what kind of prints.  Smaller-scale may work better, and I think that contrast would be very important, so if I used prints, I would use a contrasting solid, or batik or something else that reads solid.  Looks like fun!

Yes, that would work. Just what I need-another UFO!  Between the little quilt group we have going here at the complex and all the projects I have going I do stay busy!

There are no solids in my quilt and some larger prints. They are all just tone on tone fabrics. I have made 4 quilts with this block and used all sorts of prints.

My quilt is all prints and a few are pretty large scale. I will post some photos later.

Usually, pointy blocks like that make my eyeballs bounce in the sockets.  I can't look at a pineapple quilt without feeling the heebie-jeebies.

But your Majestic Mountains layout is fantastic!  I really, really like it!  and no heebie-jeebies!  :-)
