I was thinking square in a square but no cigar. cute block though.

That one I recognized. LOL!!! Couldn't name the left one, so if you think of it, I'd appreciate. I'm thinking of making one..

Yes, that would be if it didn't have the squares in the corner. It's all I could come up with too...LOL!!!!

where did you find the photo? do you have a link? someone in another forum is asking about the same one I believe.

It is called an Album OR Kings Crown quilt block.

nicely done blocks tho.  Look at those perfect points on the square in a square.  6 little points all touching just perfect.  very satisfying.  and hard to do.  And based on the seam allowances, those are small blocks too, maybe 4"?
